  1. To My Fellow Pilots:

I have built several stations and they don't seem to last. I have tried to copy other designs, but it seem not to help. I have built it quick, average, and full time hoping that will help in the construction of strength. My station usually is destroyed in a day, or I should say overnight. I don't know if it is because I'm "NAVY" clan or "VRU." It maybe both. I don't know or because I'm not building it right. I don't know if my clan or company help's in protection my station when I'm not playing. I know I try to help others, but I usually die trying so I'm not that great of help. I haven't perfected the killing of other players who are my peers or higher than me, but that is another story. Anybody can kill a youngling.

Maybe someone can help me build a better Battle Station.

I have a lots of modules to choose from to protect my station. I haven't tried all rockets or all lasers, maybe I should. I normal build rockets on odd numbers, lasers on even numbers. With a repair module in between a rocket or sometimes laser. I think that is my weakness point. Maybe I shouldn't put one in.

What I don't know about rockets what is the different in Average vs Limited. Neither one seem to be better protecting my station.

Same with Lasers. I have used Greater Range vs Limited Range and I can't see what help's the best there too.

    I have tried and died.

Have any Ideas that will help. Or at least explain the difference.

  2. If the station is being destroyed when you are not playing then the shields have been taken down for the attack. The Repair modules are really useless for the CBS.

You need to build alliances within your company to get people to assist you to protect the base while the shields are down. Taking the shields down is the only way to generate longer protection, prime time (9 to Midnight) is the best time to take them down but you really need to have many protectors to assist preventing an attack. You must pay attention to the timer on the base and make sure it is long enough for when you will not be playing to protect the base. If you do not refresh the shield it will take itself down for 2 hours, which is when most of them get destroyed.

  3. Thank you Help,

Well I do have people on my contact list, but I don't know if they help me or not or when they play. I seen only about 3 players from my clan and they were lower level than me. I only seen my leader once on 3-1. I will help any company man and/or his station. I usually get killed, but I try. I just hope my fellow company people do the same. I'm all for one type of guy.

I don't know anything about the station's shields. I thought they just turn on and off on their own. I didn't know I could control them, and how. I can see a count down timer on the top of station when they will turn on or turn off. Controlling them is something new to me.

Does building the station in short vs long time help? I take the full hour to build it hoping that will make it stronger.

Should I level the modules up? I have a few modules that I have improved, but the only thing I notice is Hit Points are better. I don't want to spend all the Uridium for not.

But want about the weapons. Limited vs Average rockets which is better? I think greater ranger is better than average range in lasers unless average has more destructive power. Your thoughts.

  4. Most bases are destroyed without having any of the protection destroyed. The attackers know that a cloaked enemy is not seen by the base and a stack of attackers fly in lock the HULL Module destroy it and the entire base is destroyed. The defense Modules are usefull to protect the clan that built the base other than that they are just a waste. Upgrade your Hull and Deflector Modules then decide if you want to do others. A fully upgraded CBS will last about 30 seconds when attacked by MCC group where a level 1 lasts about 15 seconds.

You should really read >this< before building any more bases.

  5. Bases are easy to pop with more than 2 people, my friend, nothing you can do about it except get enough time on it during prime time.

  6. Thank you all,

I thought I was doing something wrong because my bases that I had built is destroyed within a day. Others I seen seem to with stand time for a few days or rebuilt before I return. I don't know.

Thank you again for the info,
    Angus

  7. Don't waste your URI on bases. The MCC people have figured out the glitches and have perfected sitting on YOUR base and not getting shot on. That means YOU die protecting a uri sink designed to take damage to your wallet and time. There is little benefit cost wise as you end up parked on it during primetime until the MCC clan on your server comes around.

They put their pet into 'combo guard mode' and the base ignores them and they shoot you down and then the base. Bonus points if you are on the base and get hit with damage mines that state in the FAQ 'a percent of the players hp is taken' which in Dark Orbit programming equals 2 mines player pops. 288k hp -50% then -50% should still be a live player but the game is really terrible at math. So if you sit on a base and get hit with 2 'super mines' you are done.

TLDR don't waste your time or money on bases. Go get boosters and shoot aliens and do quests/gates/groupgates

bases are strong, if u know how to use them, 1 ship can easily defend a base from 4 enemies.

A maxed lvl 16 base with full short range lassers can delete a ship with 2 mio shield+500k hp in 3-4 seconds(tested it myself xD).

  10. My Bigi;

Thank you for the information. I'll try it.
