[GI] Lags when near Demaner

Recently I've been experiencing WAY more lags on Demaner than before, I play a lot more games that are heavier than DO, so I'm wondering what could be the problem.

 

Haha good luck getting help with this i think it's the game myself, i have been having many issues lately way more than before and nothing has changed on my end. Sometimes like yesterday for 3 hours when demeaner started many players that i know couldn't even play the game. For me i jump and lagged out didn't matter what map didn't matter weather i used jump cpu or portal my game was froze. Then when i finally made it to a map and things seemed good i left portal got killed like i never played before and guess what game froze relogged like 10 times same thing ship was froze at portal. The only way i got things to work again was to log in to another ship and ship warp to upper maps cause all lowers were bugged.

 

With all the additional coding put in, without old code cleaned up, fix, or deleted, events such as Demaner and Hitac constantly lag me bad. I realize I can expect two things to happen if I try to participate: Lag bad and get picked off. My solution, skip it. Good Luck.

 

With all of the graphics coding that has been added recently any time there are more than 4 ships is one area the game starts to cause issues with the Flash Player. Until the Merge, and possible Change from Flash, this game will continue to be a Galaxy Gate Based Event Game as no one can do anything with their events.

 

Lg is killing this event, get popped by either the demi or players without even realising due to not being able to move, just frozen to one spot til die.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

I went to the Demaner and helped shoot it down, on my server, and did not have lag issues.
A lot of things cause lag. Unfortunately, it is not always the same answer. However, more times than not the biggest issue is our own computers and internet connections.

Trying the following steps, lower you display settings. You can either lower them one notch at a time until the lag gets better or start at the lowest possible settings and work your way up.

Some operating systems work bettier than others. Personally, I use Chrome and have no issues. However, some people have issues. Again, this is where your operating system comes into play. Not all computers are equal and different Web Browsers react differently based on the computer and operating system.

Also, I have found than when I hard wire my internet connection when playing DO I have a much higher FPS. When hard wired I have 60 FPS and it will drop to about 45-50 when strained by events like Crazy Cubes.

Internet Speed is also an issue. I have the highest internet speed in my area so, my internet speed in rarely an issue. My suggestion, however, is if your internet speed is less that 10 MBPS you may consider lowering your settings.

Also, your DNS may also affect your internet connection / speed. If you do not know how to change your DNS please let me know and I will help you with it. Most people have found Google has the best DNS.

Well I'm on google and use chrome as my browser and i have the best internet in my area i am also hard wired My fps most of the time is 60. I have also lowered my settings to the point DO looks terrible and guess what on the weekends i might as well not even play the game. Sure i can see the demeaner and shoot it but when i jump portals when it jumps my game lags i can't move everything is frozen i have to relog by the time i do that the demeaner has jumped again and when i follow same thing happens. Also don't get me started on gates, I can do all gates but Hades it's impossible to do sometimes I finish Hades and the only kill i get or reward for aliens is the emperor kristallon cause when i jump in Hades I freeze when i relog it says i'm on wave 2 so i have to wait for the group to finish wave 1 then i jump again and freeze and it kicks me again and says i'm on wave 3 and this is happening to lots of players in the game. I for one stopped buying boosters for weekend gg cause my game is unplayable. Thing is if i go to uppers or to pirates i have no lag whatsoever and your telling me it's my computer or internet so if this is true why do I not lag doing other stuff in the game? I've never before experienced these problems with DO same computer same internet everything is up to date but yet every weekend every new event game just keeps getting worse not better.

 

@VLADI_BG Like EHD said, normally it is due to the users internet connection. Make sure you check your speed, alternatively you could try turning down your own ingame settings within the client. You could also try using another internet browser because I personally don't have any issues with lag (then again, I don't really do this event).

 

Well I went ahead and started working the event. At the demeaner I actually didn't have lag, which totally surprised me. For the OP, I would suggest you have your ISP check your connections. Don't get me wrong, I get lag but it is nothing like it used to be. Also, I keep my settings on high and have a slow cable account. I will speed it up when I have more time to play.

 

I have found the HIGH Speed Internet connections to be a false system as it using a speed test program designed for video streaming the numbers are no where near what you are supposed to get. I am paying for 200+ Mbps and the stream test shows me at about 40 Mbps while the two regular sites (xfinity and .net) show me exceeding 175 Mbps and only see the 200+ if I use xfinity to test it as they use both bandwidths provided with the high speed internet, even though the second is not recognized by most browsers.

DarkOrbit has always had problems handling hordes of players with graphics going off everywhere, but it also comes down to your computers graphics card, It's a Flash game, it has more lag then you'd expect based off of Graphics.
