[SC] The mandatory complain about VOT

Came back after 8 month of break. And first experience is mega super hyper lag 24/7 in VOT gate that makes it 100% unplayable. Did not see any concern from devs about this in discord all day although every Ge1 player complains about it. But hey, we had the same problem 5 years ago. I guess it was not enough time to fix the lag that comes with every single event ever launched in this game.

 

gate is working just fine on other servers.... must be related to the high population of players in ge1.

 

the sad thing is that ge1 is not so populated

 

I am playing on an unmodified 5 yr old HP desktop with an internet service that uses cable stretched between tin cans to my house...no lag. The gate has been fine on US East 1.

 

As I thought. Event about to end and Ge1 was broke all the event. No reaction from devs. No fixes. Nothing.

 

ge1 is very empty, before was like 1000 times more people and there was no lags

 

VOT sucks Just another waste of time and effort designed for top spending players. completely useless for any player under level 20 or any player who has not purchased there weekly Pay to win security subscription. SMH one more FAIL added to the thousands of FAIL by dark orbit and Big point

 

I think it is a good gate its just hard. At least it is not as hard as last years. I think they should have 2 gates for players a harder gate and an easier gate then there would be one less thing for people to complain about. Its a FREE gate. You should be happy with something you have made ZERO effort to get to play. I think its a good gate . thanks dark orbit.

 

Unless the NPC's have the same actions as the Map NPC's there is no way any non UFE can handle the Uber Sibelons when they mass up. I have not even bothered entering into the gate as I know I will never be able to complete it for the main reason of doing it (Epic Demon Drone) and don't care to waste my ammo that way.

 

I like to have my own opinions on...well...everything, but I agree with Warlord_Mark, there should have been 2 levels like with the invasion gates. I am Lvl 23 full of all the toys and the Uber Sibs took me a bit to do. As for the original lag issues this thread was started on, I had none and did the gate everyday. The only reason I bothered with the gate was for the NPC's counting for missions.

 

As long as u have a good internet, even if ure not ufe u can handle those uber sibes, it will just take a bit longer.

 

When they all group up I get hit twice and I am gone. I do not care how good your internet is being hit by 10 Uber Sibs at one time is going to kill any non UFE ship. Killing one Uber Sib in the 4-5 map takes half of a config using the protection of the CBS, when your company holds it.

 

Im ufe and when those sibes group and hit me twice.. well i die.. no matter if ure ufe or not, if u let those sibes hit u twice ure dead anyways, unless u run ring.. but if u run ring.. it will take x4 the time it will take when ure using moth.

Those sibes grouped up will kill ufe/not ufe in very few shoots.

Thats why im talking about having a good internet, u can avoid being shoot by those sibes if u know how to move ur ship and always stay out of their range.

If u know what ure doing when fighting those sibes, and u have good internet, then u wont die, the only difference is that for non-ufe it will take longer to kill those sibes.

 

Anyone can suicide moth the uber sibs, its kinda like doin a bbk in a leo 8 or 9 yrs ago. Big circles in and out. Suicide moth is my most used gate fig on any gate, even VOT.

The key is to keep moving and not get hit.

 

It was my mistake not to name this topic properly. It was about GE1 lag during all event. Most people did not even do the gate or could not do because of the massive lag in the gate all the time. It had nothing to do with your pc or connection. Just messed from bp side. And fact that we got zero response from devs during the event. They ignored the whole problem. No apologizes.
