[GI] kami kills me...lol

could someone please explain to me the proper procedure for useing my lvl 3 kami on my lvl 12 pet. every time i use it, i die.it used to be funny but not so much anymore lol.thanks.

 

pets are rather tempermental - some u need to point and say 'oi - pop them'
which moves to what I'm saying
some enemies are very strong and using your pet can be annoying - like 80 lvl3 bks
if your pet pops yourself - that's a new one for me
basically - kami is a handy thing to have - but don't rely on it - have a plan B

Using the Kami is all about timing. There is no specific count down to the ''boom''
When doing gates, I've noticed sometimes it goes off immediately, other times it take 3-5 seconds.
The Kami option is exactly what the name implies. However, players have adapted to use it for other situations, which is great.
Just know that it is not to be an immediate strategy or as stated above a Plan A/Plan B option.

There is no way your own kami from your own pet is causing you damage, what i think is happening is your either in a group with a different company player or your doing something that players from all companies are using their kami's so in fact you are taking damage from the other company player's pet and that's understandable cause your from different companies. One thing that doesn't make sense is when different companies are in the same group you shouldn't take damage from their pets but you do also lately sometimes we are able to shoot group members and that shouldn't be happening. Just another bug DO needs to fix just add it to the other hundreds of bugs.

 

my question is about the proper way to use it because i feel like im doing something wrong.the problem is by the time my kami detonates,my hitpoints are gone and im killed by the npc.should my hitpoints be THAT depleted?should my pets hitpoints be depleted instead.could someone please explain the proper steps taken to use it or point me to the thread i couldnt find. thanks

 

Ok the thing is your pet can't have much hp if it's going to kami, in other words if your pet is full hp it will never kami. If your pet has to much hp you need to drop a ddm mine on yourself when your pet is out and this will destroy your pet but you don't loose anything for that then when you bring your pet back to life it will be ready for using kami. Just pay attention to your pet if you use kami and your pet window doesn't go dark then your kami is not working probably cause your pet has to much hp and needs to be lower. The way Kami works is EITHER the Ship or PET HP becomes low and just before either pops the Kami detonates. The Ship must be taking damage for the Kami to activate and once activated it takes another HIT to make it POP. DO NOT use it if your Ship has LOW HP unless it is a last ditch effort to kill someone in PvP battle.

The shields on the PET have nothing to do with the ability of the Kami to work just the HP of the Ship or PET needs to be low for it to activate. So I do not accidentally repair the HP of the PET I do not even equip the Repairer to the PET. You might want to look at this thread to get a better handle on the PET and what it can do.

 

ok and thanks again.that gives me a couple of things to try.thread may close and safe flying........tried a couple of things and figured out what i was doing wrong.it now works{in my opinion}perfectly!its like having a new toy.thinking about changing my name to...the kami-man...lol.thanks everybody!
