[UI] To help reduce botting

Using the bot should not be beneficial. Shame I do not have ideas how to do it lol
But that would solve botting

 

YES they added buffs to the Bonus Boxes so everyone gets punished for the Cheaters instead of removing them, I see how well this has worked, they just decided to NPC Bot instead.

 

I don't really see botters much now on NPC so that's irrelevant, at least on my server. Boxing though, I see loads but most of them don't even run when they got shot so something has definitely happened to botting to make it worse recently.

@ATEER I don't think using a bot is really all that beneficial anymore. There was a time where it was, but now getting apis/zeus, all lf4s to level 16, base modules etc takes a lot more time than even a bot could compete with. Spending money is the only real way to achieve it fast unless you want to spend (who knows how long) botting to get it AND risking your account in the process.

All botters deserve to be banned, but like I said in my last post; "Botting really isn't the biggest issue with DarkOrbit, the biggest issue is that CBS, PvP fighting and even some ships/formations are completely broken/really strong or really weak". If they fixed these issues, then I would be more focused on getting rid of these cheaters, but until they actually fix what matters; I barely even notice them.

 

Well not for now that much. Last year there was a lot in every server and it harmed the fair gameplay, because bots had better reaction times taking the alien and stuff. I don't really care if botting is speeding up the progress, but I care about that it makes my gameplay useless.

I am one of those who are fighting my way up. Not by cheating but by my own skill. When I accomplish something, I proud of myself. I don't care if other think of me. My self worth means more to me. If you cheat here where it is not relativity, then do you do it in the real world. What is the differences? You are what your are. Do you want a better world to live in, and a better game to play in. Then be honest.

That's admirable, yet naive.
Even though it's a mortal sin, greed has it's advantages. You can be honest all you like, but as long as not everyone follows that same 'way of life' the greedy will always be stronger since they have the guts to go for it, setting aside some moral codes.
You are right of course, i know that, but try to look at it from more perspectives other than your own. In my opinion this all boils down to how much you are 'held back' by morals.

 

The POINT is IF DO wanted to do something about this issue it would not be as rampant as it is. The MORAL majority would not have succumbed to the temptation of cheating if it was not so obvious that nothing is being done about it. I too will let a person know they dropped something, IF I saw it, this does not mean I am asking everyone if they dropped something that was on the ground only the ones I saw drop it, but I sleep well with the money I keep from the ground, does not mean I am buying BOTS to better my accounts in the game.

Don't know why they would buy a bot though...that's ironic since they avoid spending money on the game, by spending money outside of the game in order to advance

 

Are you under the impression that programmers are making SOFTWARE to give away? ALL of the BOTS have a dollar amount for them. The reason to buy BOTS is so you can have it work when you do not want to. Many of the BOTTERS are the biggest WALLETS in the ORBIT and as such is WHY they have been left alone for so long (the revenues kept reducing with every BOT elimination wave).
