  1. DO team should really think about giving Attack protection(like on home maps) on x-7 maps for ppl that are lvl 17-18 or less.
That way the strongest players that kills us in 2 shots won't be able to do so untill we get stronger.
I'm lvl 17 and i can't do pvp at all vs UFE's, i'm able to farm Kristallons only at the portal gates, pvp would be still there but we have a chance to survive those high lvl hunters, but p2w players could still do it but it's ok since the number would be reduced.
Or just add a new map with attack protection for us.
    Thanks.

First it should be noted that it is not impossible to reach level 17 - 18 in a Lenov or Bigboy. It would take a long time and is not my preferred or suggested way, but possible. I state this only to point out that what makes these players seem so strong to you is they are equipped with what you are lacking and has little to do with level. Also I have to ask two questions. Are you sure you only need protection on X-7 because surely you fly other maps? When do you think your strength will kick in? Simply shooting aliens on protected maps may increase your level and rank points but your personal ship strength and abilities will remain unchanged!

NPC kills on a protected map will only gain you Experience points, Honor points, Credits and URI. The first two have absolutely nothing to do with player strength. Credits may help with some of what you need but URI is the big one.

Strength for a player lies in his personal setup. His ship how it's equipped, configured and the upgrade levels of such. The number of drones, their upgrade level, what they are equipped with and equipment upgrade level. His P.E.T its level, equipment level, gear, etc. Then you have how he's worked his skill tree, his ammo, along with his personal skill with the use of this machine.

Most of this takes MONEY for treasure chests, Galaxy Gates, upgrades, log disks and outright equipment, ammo and etc. purchase. Not flying in protected maps. HOPEFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT, I WILL SAY RIGHT NOW, there are those who claim to have risen to their glory without spending a dime. However if you are concerned with gaining your strength quickly, and not rich, the above way will take you long enough.

With enough money you could be FE and/or UFE long before your 17-18 level. Otherwise their are already enough protected maps for passive shooters.

  3. Don't worry I completely agree with you. The other person who posted clearly doesn't understand how difficult it is to survive as a smaller ship in the upper maps. I made a suggestion a while ago that you should be able to buy protection within certain levels in this game but doing that wouldn't earn any money because UFEs wouldn't hunt as much hence not waste as much uridium to do so.

So you can thank Bigpoints greed for the fact this will never be implemented. The fact is, DarkOrbit only care about improving the maxed out ships even further or making them look better compared to their strengths. I'm maxed out myself and even I agree that smaller ships have a very hard time with dealing with UFEs. If they released some equipment so they can detect where UFEs are (again within certain levels) I think that would be completely balanced.

They should also make it so being UFE yourself, you cannot gain these perks no matter what to avoid that exploit.

  4. Trust me, I'm not one of those ''Start investing or stop playing''-guys, but what you're suggesting is way too much. PvP is of major importance in DO and if you just ban it (only just on 1 map), what do you think will happen? All the less geared players will come to this map, it will be completely overcrowded and the other maps will even get more empty (I'm playing on GE3). Also, as said by snuffout, level has little correlation with strength.
Additionally, you are suggesting to 'feed the poor and tax the rich', which may be honorable, but not sensible from an economic point of view.

Oh you need to re-think this. I don't know about you but I did not walk into this game all UFE. I've spent much time and some money over several years earning every stripe I got. I cannot count the times I've been popped on countless maps. I not only understand but also refuse to give away to some noob what I put in my time to earn! Any misunderstanding here is without doubt, clearly yours!
