[TEI] You blew it again

Once again an ill conceived event turns into a disaster for players.
LASER STORM is causing all kinds of lag because you just do not have the equipment to support so many players doing the same thing at the same time.
I had to spend more than twice the time it usually takes me to finish Zeta gate (and I did three of them)
PET didn't move , but it still gained experience (small consolation).
You would think with as much experience Team Dark Orbit has had through the years , the popularity of this event could have been anticipated .I am no computer whiz but , there has to be a way for you to compensate for the higher volume of traffic . In any system there is always a way to enhance or add memory . I wish I would have studied computer programing or I.T. I'd be in Germany right now helping you fix this. I still enjoy the game , for the most part but, I am growing weary of trying to participate in these kinds of events.

 

I am sorry you are having issues with the event.
I have been doing the event off an on all day and have not experienced any lag.

I know it sound old, but please indulge me.

1. Please clear your cache
2. Clear ur flash player. This is a different step, on some computers from the above.
3. Reduce graphic quality
4. If you are using wifi please hard wire your computer to your modem.

Also, please check your internet speed ...ie download speed There are multiple site out there.

There was no lag for me ALL weekend. You people go around bad mouthing the game when chances are it's your internet or computer that is the problem . I had no problems and know many people who had none either. Some of you are just not happy unless you have something to complain about.

 

If he had lag, then he had lag....

 

I was told from support that maybe my lag was cause from being so far from the main server as my account has to travel through many other servers that they can't promise all the other servers don't have lag. So even though i'm happy you don't have lag i have lag during every DO event especially demenar event when i jump from 2-3 to 1-3 map or from 1-3 to 1-4 map my account gets disconnected and i loose all my rewards. And this weekend i had a very hard time logging in and each time i finished a gate i disconnected every time even though i still kept logging back in and doing another gate the event was worth it. So sometimes it isn't players just complaining about the game some of us actually do have real problems with the game. Also my computer and internet are way more than you need to run DO and yes i know about clearing cache and all that stuff i have been playing a long time now and never had lag before in the game till they sold it and a different company took over. Enjoy

 

It was some issue with DO servers, it mainly happened on GE1 server, and only on the zeta gate, and it happened to hundreds of players aswell as myself, so i dont think that there was an issue on his/our side.

DO should try to make sure that their servers can hold on these events...

 

I too have been playing the game a long time and I have great respect for DO team . And I did all the things Moderator suggested first thing.Including Flash Player. On any typical day I get 45 -55 FPS on game map . Can you say that? I have my "zones" and "backgrounds" set to low. However , proximity to local server may have some influence when a high volume of players are all doing the same thing at the same time .
And , FYI, little miss Lockraven , I do not Complain . I offer criticisms and opinions in the hopes that it will improve MY gaming experience and highlight issues that concern many of us. So you can check that attitude at the door .

Finally I would like to ask the "Moderator" what the minimum download speed would be , to have an adequate game connection.

TY , I did forget to mention that my Delta gate did go smoothly and I am on GE1 and all other game play was not affected. ( just Zeta gate)

 

Good Question... Years ago. The Log In page had a link giving the minimum requirements. I do not see it there anymore.
I do see various websites listing the minimum requirements to play DO. Those websites are run by third parties and I can not guarantee their accuracy.

I would suggest contacting support and ask them.
