New LF4s that are supposed to be earned are now in shop and in galaxy gates for a great price of Pay To Win?

This game is a joke now. I honest to God feel bad for the players who actually farmed for these things.

 

Not like they are much better compared to normal lf4s, so its fine i guess.

And it only contains 1 per each laser, i dont see any problem here as maybe not everyone have time for sitting in gg like nolife for the weekend.

 

Somebody will post by noon that they now have a full set of one and probably all three of the lasers, on all of their accounts. I on the other hand can't seem to get a gate even built, much less muster the time to complete one in a weekend. Why even worry about it?

 

some ppl spent whole year doing daily/weekly, events ... to get this lasers. But now you can get whole set over a weekend.

I don't think you realize the point I am trying to make.

First of all they are completely disrespecting their players by ripping them off by offering 15$ for one of each of those lasers, while this is kind of unrelated but this is just a straight up insult.

The worst part about buying these things is you can't even buy a REGULAR LF4 with actual money in the uridium shop, but you can buy the new LF4s with actual money now.

Second of all, to paraphrase xmancode, any guy who pays on this game can get a a FULL SET of these new LF4s over the weekend doing gates. Now you might not see this, but the problem here is that so many people never spent a dime trying to get these new LF4s by farming for it over the past YEAR AND A HALF and they get backhanded in the face by Darkorbit because now you can just practically buy them through gates and cash. Even worse is that Darkorbit is going to make a fortune because they are running Helix 400% sales over this entire weekend.

So you had three new lasers, and three new ships that Darkorbit said themselves that you had to "earn it" and it would take a long time for you to obtain these things, and they did a complete 180 as they usually do over the past 10 years because now they allow you to practically buy them by spending money on a Helix and grinding gates for those LF4s and you can just straight up buy 150 indoctrine oil for 100$ on the special event crap and buy new LF4s with cash.

Sure, it might not seem so bad, it's a "one time deal" right? But remember when Darkorbit promised to whatever God they believe in that Surgeon wasn't going to be buyable? And now everyone and their mother has a surgeon design now? Yeah, I remember.

Now I don't spend money on Darkorbit anymore and when I did I never went into a ludicris amount, but If anyone here that does or doesn't spend money that is reading this right now, that does not see a single problem with this at all, then YOU are the problem with this game because YOU allow Darkorbit to get away with this stuff.

 

This is the same thing that happens with everything else that comes out in the game.

The lasers have always been available in the gates for the great price of pay to win, just in pieces scattered around different gates.

Nobody is being disrespected by a pay offering. Its always been a future offering, they just didn't state it in the beginning. Everything you have to scrounge up for becomes a pay offering at some point. Some are coupled with other things that you may or may not need or want.

Players play an entire weekend all the time just to get the regular LF4's and now do it to get their Spartan drone sets and other things to turn those regular LF4's into the new style ones. Does this surprise us? No. Lack of sleep, increased use of non-essentials, pizza delivery, not to mention the lack of family and off game friends communication and BAM, instant new and improved UFE player.

Let it go, play your way like I play mine. I only have what we got in the callendars and can't get gates made so I can get the Spartan blueprint. I don't have the time and not going to pay to spin. Paying uri for spins is the worst concept in the world. You spend close to 100k uri for a gate and don't get a profit in uri back. Yes I know, you get lasers, log disk, and other stuff and as good as that stuff is, I still need to build up for another gate, pass.

What got you started playing the game? The new stuff they had not announced yet or the need to do something instead of going outside. Man I miss my bike. If you want to enter a race, check the community calendar for your town/county. But if you want to play a game, just play it. Not everyone can be number 1. Let it go.

 

When we said it takes "too much time" to craft these LF4s we were also talking about the amount of resources needed to craft a single one. You would think Darkorbit would do a simple easy solution by REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF RESOURCES NEEDED to get ONE LF4 instead of putting them in the shop. But no, they literally just handed them out like candy to heavy gate users and wallet warriors because they didn't care about whether or not it took many resources to get these things, they just wanted money.

You might be thinking, "so what?" Well the big issue here is that Darkorbit repeatedly promised that you HAD to WORK for the new lasers, indoctrine oil, hell they even promised they wouldn't sell the surgeon years ago but now everyone has it. So did they really put these LF4s out to make a profit as a company, or did they put it out there out of greed because of the lack of company integrity and the lack of keeping to their own damn promises? What happened to the aspect of moving away from pay to win, to a game where you had to work, they literally said this over and over again in their livestreams, they said over and over that their crafting system would be a revolutionary step towards being a better, interactive and more free game, but yet again they pulled a fast one and literally whatever new equipment that goes into crafting tends to be literally given away through money purchases only weeks or months into the new equipment.

Back to the topic, by putting them in the shop and in gates, you now have half the players on a server that has a full set of new LF4s and half of others that don't. So in reality you guys might think its a joke, but it is yet ANOTHER power gap in this game and yet ANOTHER aspect that noobs have to play catch up to to even get UFE now. How do you propose those noobs get the new LF4s now? Farm for it to take a year to get a full set? Pay for it for when it eventually goes in gates again? Before this event everyone was equal, everyone HAD to farm and participate in the events for the LF4s but you can just buy them now, those LF4s went from being an accomplishment for a complete joke over one stupid decision.

And even if it was a one time deal, now what? You have the wallet warriors with full sets of LF4s now and the lesser players don't, so the wallet warriors have yet another advantage over lesser people. So the people who weren't able to get those LF4s are now going to have to farm for months or years for full sets while everyone else has them. But alas, I have a feeling you don't really care because some of you reading dump your life savings in this game so it doesn't affect you.

False. The regular LF4s are only obtainable by chance through gates or booty keys or getting lucky at events or calender, the new LF4s had a 100% chance drop rate in those new gates that even the regular LF4s dont have in Kappa and Epsilon, so the fact that the new LF4s are harder to obtain is now completely void.

I understand your point, but I think you have "profit" and "screw the players" mixed up.

League of Legends in no way allows any player to buy their way up the latter in their video game, the only things you can buy are skins or boosts to get extra IN GAME MONEY that you CANNOT BUY WITH REAL MONEY after EVERY game, so you have to EARN it and win the game, yet they are a multi billion dollar, reowned worldwide company with its own ESports and millions of players. They constantly maintain their servers and they have a genuine team surrounding their company that is transparent about their decisions.

On the complete polar opposite side of the spectrum, Darkorbit is still a browser game after all these years which every single thing in this game can now be bought and its practically a dead game that appeals pay2win over earning stuff.

Now, I'm willing to wager that if you were a regular person that just registered for both of these games that you have never heard of in your life, I bet you'd quit this game so fast because of how outrageous Darkorbit is now.

I would address all your points but honestly it isn't worth explaining anymore, this game is dead and lacks integrity and the only people who disagree are the people who feed them money, which endorses them to make these decisions.

 

I stopped caring after seeing you bring up League of Legends. If it is so great, why are you here? Oh yeah, to belly ache. I have one account with prem and mainly play on my account with nothing. I had no time to create multiple gates for the lasers this weekend, nor to play the two gates I have built. Where is the problem exactly? They come up with this all the time. You know it. I know it. Its nothing knew. Players should expect it to happen and just play. I need resources for different stuff and don't have the time to just work at it so its sitting on the way-side until I finish working my next Kronos. Maybe I will be done next year. Until then, do you just not want to work at getting the stuff for this 1v1 game, or is this really just a complaint session about rank? I ask that because that is the true advantage; the wallet warriors will be able to jump ahead in rank faster since they will hit harder faster. Oh man, event has been over for hours now and we are still stuck on it. What am I thinking???

 

Gratz. Oh wait, Laserstorm was 4 days and not even all could've played those gates. Oh wait, I also remember that the new LF-4's only the Hyperplasmoids are worth. Oh wait, even BP themselves call the new LF-4's to be cosmetic only a as a joke. Because really, they don't make much difference, when even regular LF-4's beat Paritydrill and Magmadrill on average damage.

But yea, I understand your struggle, but I don't know why you still complain or why do you even work hard when you know the result is always the same.

 

I have not one clue what you just said but there is no evidence, nor does it mathematically make sense that a regular LF4 does more damage than the new LF4s(especially the paritydrill). While they may not make up much of a difference it is still an undeniable fact that this is now another power gap people have to go through to make it to UFE that people have to either waste years trying to get or simply buy it, which allowing players to buy it breaks Darkorbit's promise of swaying away from a pay to win game and their promises that the assembly system would "revolutionize" the entire game.

Ok you're not even trying to counter an argument, you're just writing to write at this point.

My point about bringing up League of Legends is to show you the fact that a Free to Play game that requires no money at all is doing 100x better than Darkorbit, in which Darkorbit is playing the role of being completely pay to win and every single thing on this game can be bought with money.

Even though I think League is complete crap now, I chose that game to display how well League has understood and developed a solid line of determining what could be bought with money, and what could be given free to the players. Same goes with Overwatch and Fortnite, these games are making a LOT of money and publicity by being free to play(or in Overwatch's case, a cheap 40$ one time payment game). So these games which are free to play or a cheap one time payment HAVE to be doing something right if they are making millions of dollars just by selling mere cosmetics.

Unfortunately Darkorbit has complete disregard when determining a fine line between free to play and forcing you to pay money to buy ANYTHING in the shop at all, or to even compete against other players or even just to survive long enough to run to a port when you are dying from a UFE. So when you have a game that requires a substantial amount of money to do even the basic tasks of the game almost completely bankrupt of money AND players then any sane person would look at this game and clearly see something is wrong and it has to change, but it hasn't for years.

I don't recall any damage testing on Youtube that shows the regular LF4s doing more damage than the new ones, please post your proof here but until then we're going to assume they amplify damage. The videos I've seen when those new lasers came out was from a former Darkorbit admin who even showed a 4-5k damage increase with magmadrills, on top of that every person I know that plays this game says the new lasers are better even if the benefit is only tiny.

How ironic and careless is this ignorant statement because the magmadrills and paritydrills only give a 5 damage boost not a 7 damage boost, so you're completely wrong (yet again) on this point.

And another point is why would I even bother learning about a game that doesn't work in the first place? Lets say you are right about the new lasers performing worse than a regular upgraded LF4, why should I learn how this new Darkorbit bug works when its supposed to be better than the regular LF4s in the first place? You know, the way its SUPPOSED to work. Even if your claim is true, you still haven't addressed the fact that the new LF4s (which are supposed to be better than regular LF4s mind you) were literally more obtainable at a 100% drop rate in gates than a regular LF4 with a 25% drop rate in gates and a 2% drop rate in booty keys.

No thats false, this thread was originally created to point out and expose the things wrong with Darkorbit recently --mainly focusing about the new event and why it was a horrible thing for Darkorbit to go back on their word and for everyone to post their opinion and discuss/argue about it.

But right now all I see from a few specific people here is whining and covering their ears and saying "you're wrong I'm right can't prove me wrong!" even after I dish out facts, and even after I ask for proof (which nobody has posted it yet). Especially those who have been proven wrong here with actual facts. And even after I pointed out that I wanted something constructive you still posted a stupid comment as usual by saying that this thread "actually started by whining about new event without any constructive feedback."

And just an FYI, it may or may not have been a mistake, but its still deathly ironic and careless that you attack a broad audience for not "knowing anything about Darkorbit" in the same post where you posted a false statistic. Those "mistakes" right there can completely dismantle anyone's argument.
