[GI] Auction room

I am perplexed with this particular part of the site.
How does a player in 30 seconds or less overbid on at least 5 things.
It takes me at least 12 seconds for 1 bid and that's pushing it.
Is there a way of doing it ie holding down a specific key whist you enter all your bids then enter so all go at the same time?
I want what this guy has or him removing to make things fair.

That is not impossible, if they put a bid of 10.000 Credits more than you or just set 1-2 numbers in front of the current bid.

 

I know its not possible but how is it happening? This is not the first time either

 

it is not impossible, i can bid on 5 things easily in 30 seconds if you paste the amount in instead of typing it.

 

I would also add yur internet speed plays a role in. Copy/paste makes it go faster, but a simple out bid always works fastest.

Remember too, as it was stated in a couple of other threads, some players will have multiple windows open and cycle through them to get whatever items they are after.
I am not sure how they accomplish this on one machine, but, I guess it's possible.

 

Basically you will have right clicked on the Auction and selected "open in new tab", post your maximum bid and submit it in the last 15 seconds of the auction and with a fast internet connection can have 5 or more posted before the auction ends, this of course assumes you are not targeted with the "Captcha" delay system.

Been there and done that losing bids.

I was told DO doesn't allow multi window to bid. It was a NO NO, but it is done still.

The question was asked and answered that there were NO rules in place preventing the use of additional windows as you still had to manually enter the bids unlike the auto-bidder software where you allow the computer to place bids on items you have specified. YES we were all upset that D O did not feel this was illegal but I do understand why it is not a CHEAT but exploiting a loophole that is missing from the T & C as it is not software but browser ability. Maybe when they get rid of Flash they will correct this issue.
