[TI] Drones disappearing

Twice this month, I started with 8 drones, and all of a sudden, there are only 6. What gives?

Personally I think all players should have the Drone Rep CPU installed on both configs. With it installed, providing you have enough repair credits or enough Uri your drones will be automatically repair before they get destroyed.

You can win this CPU in trade fairly cheap. On my server I win them for 3million credits.




But also if you are a new player and are low on resources to acquire this CPU you can always manually repair your drones. Check your drone damage each time you get killed and be sure to repair them once the damage level is significant. Instructions on how to do this is also within the link I provided you

Drones/Irises are like an engine in your car that needs attention on a regular basis. A car owner checks his oil and water regularly to make sure that the engine is protected. I check my engine/drones out daily to make sure they are protected Manually . All my slots on the ship are full , but if memory serves me well Drones/Irises can carry the DRO-2 repair chip ... * note * make sure that BOTH configurations have the chip on it . You could get popped on a configuration that doesn't have the chip and you WILL LOOSE THE DRONE/DRONES . if you have invested in upgrades to the Drones you loose your uri investment as well ... DO won't reimburse 'LOST/DESTROYED' Drones. All my Drones are repaired at the same time , meaning , that each 1 is equally damaged except the Apis and Zeus Drones and are upgrade. I loose 1 drone I would loose all 8 normal drones . That's why I do manual repairs @ 95% damage to all 10 drones at once

 

This is also kind of case depending thing. Some supports actually returns once the lost lvl 16 drones, if asked nicely. I have heard this happen like few times already, however I haven't popped lvl 16 drones ever, nor asked popped drones again back, so I can't confirm if my support is that nice.

All good advice. Go to you hanger and check your drones on damage. I repair them manually when they get to 30%. If one is high I repair them all. That way they start out the same damage point. I use to do it one at a time, but I lost one because I didn't see it was hurting. Plus I wasn't running with Drone CPU at the time. Yes I know I'll lose a level, but it is better then losing a drone that is 16th level. I also use Drone CPU. That has save a drone or two too. You can bid on Drone CPU at auction. Most people don't and you can get it most of the time for 10,000 credits. But again bidding on one is better then losing a drone. Have a CPU for each configuration and each ship you fly or equipment. To me the CPU is just as valuable as ammo for lasers.

Welcome glenn5876,

As our helpful community responded, you need to pay attention to the drone damage percentage. If you lose them you need to obtain new ones. In game you can purchase helpful extras that will automatically repair you drones when they reach 100%, but beware that they can be used limited times until you purchase new extras.
