[GI] Questions about drone design (Havoc)

I'm building the zeta gate.

1. If I have 8 drones, do I need to sell one to be able to get the Havoc reward from the galaxy gate?

2. What are the differences between the Havoc and a regular Iris drone?

3. Are there other drones that one can be acquired like this?

4. What if I have 10 drones? How would one go on getting the Havoc?

5. What's the best drone design based on stats and how do you get it?

 

i can answer some.

1. havoc (drone design) is a 'sometimes' reward for doing Zeus gate. since you can own many ships, you can also own many havocs.
2. there are 2 type of drone, flax drone only holds 1 weapon/sheild/item; Iris drone holds 2. havoc is a design that is added to drone to give it extra power.
3. there is an Apis and Zeus drone. other designs are Hercules and Spartan.
4. by doing a zeus gate; Hercules(design) you get by doing Kappa gate.
5. best to continue looking in FAQ on this forum, everything about game is there (also hints about game)

I will address all of these for you.

1. Havoc is a design added to the drone not replacing it so NO you do not sell your drones to get it.
2. Havok Designs give the drones assigned this design +10% damage as seen in Drone Design FAQ
3. You have Zeus and Apis that are built in the Tech Center in SkyLab (be advised do not build Apis before Zeus or you collect for a second one before getting the Zeus built. As you think the Havok is a drone (actually design) you have Hercules (gained from doing Kappa Gate) and Spartan Design (assembled using one each Hercules and Havok design so if you like the affects of one you want to work on having 2 sets each to get all 3 designs).
4. 10 drones means you have assembled the 2 extra drones (Apis and Zeus) and again have no affect on collecting designs. You would still do you Zeta Gate with fingers crossed that you collect the drone design.
5. This is a play style question and has many answers read the Drone Design FAQ and make you decision from that knowledge remembering the Full Effect on Spartans and Hercules designs is a FULL set assigned on ALL OWNED DRONES

Alright so, the Havoc bonus will only be enabled if you have all your drones with the design right?

The Hercules design will still give you the 15% shield bonus even if you don't have them all equiped?

And the spartan will still give you some bonuses even if you don't have the al the drones with it?

What would be the best order to acquire these drones? Should I go for Havoc first or Hercules?

 

Does it work when I do not own enough havoc designs for all drones?

Hercules is not stipulated to have ALL drones equipped for the bonus but it does only apply to those drones equipped. The Havoc will not help you unless you have ALL drones equipped with them.

Spartan will give the damage bonus but not the shield or bonus FULL set.

Hercules, as they do not require the FULL set to achieve the bonus and as I said Spartan is only after you have more than a FULL set of the other 2.
