[TEI] ANOTHER BAD MANAGED EVENT

I want to ask to whoever created this event: do you ever play this game?

First of all, I play in ge1 and there are only 10 event box for like 200 players. I cannot even see them that they are already gone.
I spent 1 hour doing this event and the only thing i've got is one normal box.

Secondly the only quest that gives you a decent amount of event point is impossible to do even if you are UFE.
2BILLION OF DAMAGE...ARE YOU SERIOUS????
I made my maths so I calculated that to do that part of the quest you need to shoot continuosly at NPC for 17 hours with x3 ammo.
You will shoot 2,200,000 x3 ammo worth (with premium and rebate) around 1,500,000 uridium.
All of this for only 20k event point

Seriously guys it take only few calc to understand how unfair this is

 

and they wonder why no one wants to play this game anymore.

at least you have 200 people to fight with, come east3 and your lucky to have 40 people on anytime of day.

 

Everybody get on the 4-4 map Sunday.
Lag the map out and kill all the ships you can, remember, It's Fodder Day !

How is an enemy company player able to collect boxes from an MMO company goal ?
Envy are a VRU company...

TO THE GUYS WHO SPEAK ABOUT MCC : this is not the point of my thread

i am sick and tired about MCC blablabla for every problem in the world!!!!
the point of my thread is the low number of boxes (so even if you are an UFE in a MCC you won't get anything) and the fact that BP created hype by saying that in the event they would have put "ultra-lucrative" quests and instead they put an unachievable quest.

FYY: i am not in a MCC clan but i am in a top 20 clan in GE1. these event are only for UFE player because they don't have quest or other things to do in the game, so if you are a weaky newbe go to do quest or other stuff to grow up as we all did in the past

 

this is a team-game... even if you are the strongest player in the world you cannot compete against 3+ enemy ships...if you don't wonna be destroyed by UFE join a clan and go in 4-4 with your clanmate

 

IF this is the quest I think it is, it was very easy to complete as I killed 4 Boss Sibelons and completed it, the 150 million was a little longer but still 20 Boss Sibelon would do it.

The only quests I have left involve the Mayhem Boxes and I don't go near the Space Ball arena so I will never do them but just think there is 1 month of this event to do it.

 

So I finally finished that horrible special event mission!
Took me over 20 hours to do so.
Before I realized what I started I was way too deep in quest to cancel it, so I just had to finish it. For everyone: If you just started it, cancel it while you can. It is unbelievable long and boring quest. It was the worst quest I have ever done in DarkOrbit. SERIOUSLY!

I needed over 1,5 million ×4, 700k ×3, 100 EMP, 100 Insta-Shields, countless Hi-Techs, and a lot of nerve just to get 1 Hyperplasmoid. I would rather eat flavourless oatmeal for one month, than do this quest again.

I really want to know who come up with that quest?! I want to see him finish it and do it in GE1, which is full of boters and other dishonest players!

The quest would be fine, if it wasn't for for that much "npc dmg" needed. Otherwise, it was made for boters, that will just turn bot over day and do the work for them!

The time and ammo spended on that quest would be better spended on spaceball or everything else.

You should give another rewarding Hyperplasmoid for finishing that quest or maybe 2 of them!

You should made the special quest about shooting the spaceball for few hours, so people would engage and not just sit in cloack on portal and wait for others to make the job. Instead you send players away from 4-4 and make them shoot NPC. :/

So unbelievable glad it's from my back! If I had to spend another minute with boters on x-7, I think I would punch my laptop screen through...

i started it, then i immidiately cancelled it when i read about 2 billion of damage

I think most of these quests and events are geared toward using LOTS of ammo. Many players have so much ammo its crazy. So DO has made these quests to use some of the ammo up. Great job finishing the quest. I don't think many will complete it. just the top 200 players with lots of ammo and uri stored up. I would only suggest to DO is give more boxes based on how many players shoot at the spaceball and they cannt see the box if they don't shoot.

 

The whole thing is, if you have regular/daily quests or Galaxy Gates the damage is counted towards the Damage Missions. Yes they do take some time but I completed several quests that also gave me rewards while completing these. There are only 2 I will not OPEN and they are collecting the Mayhem Boxes.

 

I you don't touch the mayhem boxes, there is a whole thread of quests that you can't do. I have 7 quests I can't select, I guess because I have to do the 5 mayhem box quest first.
I can't do them, because 4-4 on my server is owned by two clans that shoot anything that doesn't have their tag.

Sticking to the "easy" daily quests, with points going toward the greater goal. I will get there by the time the event ends.

Yeah, mayhem boxes are next to impossible to collect I found. But on the whole you get alot of spins and ammo (with doubler) even just collecting normal cargo. Pet salvage is needed.

I think is a slightly better version of spaceball.

Sure if you have to deal with alot of war clans you will die alot, but it doesn't really matter as there is no drone damage.

 

They add more event quests every day and I have been able to do all of them as long as I do not select the 2 that require the Mayhem Boxes. I would post my scores for my accounts but I can not find where to see them.

 

Yes I have that part of quests locked too.
It's kinda annoying because I could easily do other quests that came after the first one but I am not able to collect 5 boxes

 

Yeah I dont bother doing mayhem boxes quest. Doing the other quests should give u more than enough and you should be able to complete it up to 50k points at least once

 

You're right. Without wasting URI and X4 on the 2 hour point booster, if you have completed all the missions except Mayhem ones you should have 24k points after 7 days. The final reward is at 50k, so should be achieved after 16 days of the event, unless DO throw in the odd extra mission here and there.
