If you're like me, then you might have shot friendlies, your own PET or players you do not want to shoot in general more often than you should. In this case, maybe a little help could be very welcome as well as add to the realism of the game.

A targeting filter in between the selection of a target and firing upon it. If the target doesn't match the criteria, your weapons do not fire.
By criteria I mean targets that you previously established if you may fire upon or not.
Mistakes can be fun, until you attacked the wrong player!

Note: it doesn't forbid you from firing upon them (friendly, PET...), it just restricts your weapons from doing so, you are in charge of removing or adding the restriction.

  2. I could see this as being helpful IF it was a DEFAULT same company block that you added the exception to not the way you describe it. It would work with the Clan Diplomacy (if you were a member of Clan) or you may decide to NAP an enemy Clan as an individual (where the Clan Leader adds you to their exception list) and you add the Clan Name to yours.

This would really benefit the close order attacks seen in the different events where people are trying to lock an NPC and miss lock a player instead. This may even a lock prevention tool so you would automatically lock the closest NPC/Enemy to where you were trying to target.

    Sounds great to me!

  4. I lost well over 100million honor to accidental pet killing. But I can see this causing issues too, what if you get shot by them, with the intent to kill, and you can't fire on them? You're screwed.
