[TI] GB1 down - no OA

Is there any kind of maintenance going on GB1? That server says "abducted by aliens" or whatever but is not scheduled for merge or maintenance.
Anyone else has the problem connecting to it? Without OA, it is dangerous because the account can stay "parked" on the server that is down and then only support can switch servers.

But now there's the Official Announcement about it.

I have another question, and think it's worth a double post...

The first merge that affected me was:

Italy 1 -> Global Europe 7​

since I have a ship on GE7, but server IT 1 was merged into GE7 (at least I understood so) and I didn't have to think how to get into my ship on GE7.
But the current merge of:

Great Britain 1 -> Global Europe 5​

affects me in a different way, as GB1 is merged into GE5. Does that mean I will have to select GE5, or there will still be GB1 as a "placeholder" to access my GB1 ship?
After all, none of the merged servers vanished from the Server Select screen (e.g. ES1, GB2, DE7, ...) so it is a bit confusing. I would appreciate just a little bit of clarification.

I don't see a reason to contact support, just looking for a quick feedback from knowledgeable players or players that have experience with merged servers... as they basically have the exact answer to my question.

 

If you have an account on other servers that are not currently being merged those are playable. Just do not login to the account that is on GB1 / GE5. Once that merge is complete you will have an [Option Menu] of which account you wish to fly on the GE5 server. You can have both accounts in the same or even different clans if you choose to do so after the merge. As it stands now Entire Clans shall remain in tact for the merge.

 

My simple question is do we get those two days on the daily log in bonus are lose them?

 

Thanks for the reply, but I don't quite get it. I have (quite old) ship on GB1 but have nothing on GE5. How will I play my GB1 account once the merge is complete - by selecting GB1 or GE5?
I am assuming I'll have to go through GB1, which may only be a redirecting host but that's just a wild guess.

Happy news your server is currently not functional for 48 hours due to server merge , Kyro has posted the list of servers currently been merged.

You will have to log in to the instance GE5 from your account and all your stuff you have on your account will be moved there so don't worry Nothing will be lost.

if your account on GB1 has been inactive for longer than 30 days . IT is set for a different loading time longer than 48 hrs. Only Active Accounts will have service. It will show up on the redirected server GE5. From there Once the INACTIVE LIST of USERS are COMPLETED you will have to contact support and go thru a security protocol in order to Activate your GB1 account via email link verification.

Nope, my GB1 account is active - that's why I reacted to GB1 down even before there was an OA posted on forums... wanted to play some, but aliens invaded the server.

Thanks to everyone who participated, but yes.
For example, as mentioned above... assuming I have a ship on GE5 as well, how would I access my GB1 and how my GE5 ship? It doesn't seem logical to go through GE5 for both ships as then there is no way to tell which one I want to play.

 

Just to let you know and correct my self, after server been merged, you will have to log in to your old server and you will be directed to the new one where you change your instances you'll be have a option to switch accounts , and as has been said previously if you have inactive account you won't be able to log onto them after merge, as accounts were not merged - we will have to wait what devs come up with.

OK, let's go step by step as I am still unclear how this works.

No, I was logging once or twice per day so I assume my account is not considered inactive.

New Instance within instance? This is what I don't understand.

I don't have account on GE5 but only on GB1, so which instance will I have to switch to?

My situation is as follows: an active GB1 account (no GE5 account whatsoever), now moved to GE5. I was selecting GB1 to access my ship so now the question is what instance will I have to choose after the merge is complete?

Until ALL server mergers are completed D O is not removing the individual server identifiers.

You will still access via GB1 just like now. Once the servers are removed then maybe the team will clear up the individual server issues of multiple accounts on one merged server. Just remember that if the NEW server has more merges then you also feel that merge as GB2 is feeling now as they were merged with GE5 also.
