The mergers of servers promised that the game would be reborn, that there would be more ships, new faces and better battles everywhere ... Many players, including myself, had a bit of hope that from Bigpoint it seemed that it was beginning to listen to the opinions of the users.
Nothing is further from reality. The merger of servers has only brought LAG and with it, a widespread disenchantment by the community of players. Personally, I've been playing since 2007, I've seen many updates, some good and others less good ... and never, in all this time, I had considered why I was still in these parts ...
We are faced with an obsolete game, with exorbitant prices and a passivity on the part of the support before the worries and problems of the overwhelming players ... Even so, many of us still want to play this, we refuse to throw overboard the moments that we have spent, the people we have met and of course, the time and money we have invested in our accounts and I do not understand why do you make it so difficult for us? Why do not you try to make a critical self and see the aspects that you can improve in all areas? Why do not you stop drawing designs and focus on doing things right?
And the million dollar question ... When is the LAG problem really going to be addressed, and when is it expected to disappear? As a veteran user and client of this company, in which I have spent thousands of hours of my time and thousands of euros, please ask me to answer someone who is really qualified for it, and not a Moderator or Board Admin, if not someone who is really trained and has the technical knowledge and information needed to answer me.
On the other hand, I would like to start to make users aware that this game needs our income to survive and if we really join, they will have to listen to us. This has been done previously in servers like GE1 with the campaign DaDG (Darkorbit A Dying Game) or at the time of Hek-Toreon with PNA and agreement not to spend money in Spain 1.

Very good points, though probably better for the Speaker's Corner - if everyone reads that...
I completely agree there have to be spenders to keep the game alive, I was a moderate spender before I got frustrated with the always delicate topic of botters and 3rd party (illegal) software users and how they are getting everything for free while I have to pay every single crumb of my bread. So I said "enough", until the issue is resolved. And I don't think the game is obsolete, at least not as a concept. It surely is as current implementation in dwindling flash, that already has a date on its tombstone.
Honestly, I am very skeptical that there will ever be a downloadable client and that the game will survive the death of a flash player. That's another reason why I see no point in investing into the game if it's there only to hang with all its problems and issues, till someone decides to finally pull the plug.

dont cry, lag and all the other things are now part of game.
it has been so long that i feel it is a very good part of the game.
i hope nothing is done so we can keep enjoying the little things from like 2013 and onwards.
i love this game and if it got even worse its even better.

Can you give me a source of where this was said by Bigpoint?

But even if we assume you're correct, the server merge project has not been completed yet, so I wouldn't get ahead of yourself and publish a complain post.

I can recall a "quiet out of a blue" OA some time ago; then owner of the BP announced that the game is not by any means treated like a dinosaur but quite contrary - development is still very active and the dev team has a solid view of the future, which contains many new features, content and surprises for players. One such surprise was a server merge process, then still on a draft board, but it was supposed to attract new players due to increase in the activity and fun of the game. I don't believe the specific word "reborn" was used, though.
It also mentioned likelihood of the downloadable client as a future of dark orbit to migrate from a browser game.

Is it always after merge problems with the game like kick out in the middle of gg,s and also out of the game ,so you have to logg in and
logg out and when your in you end upp in wrong server time after time .
If this is normal (i think so) it is if possible to know when do think it is over with merge and it is just the usuel problem left .
It will be nice to now ,dont have to be 100 % right.

I've been playing since 2013 on USA1 and West Coast. I have only recently experienced the merge as West Coast was merged into USA2. I would not say that the game was reborn because of this merge, but I can say that are more players active in the new server and that makes the game better.

I have not experienced any more lag on the merged server than what I do on USA1. It would be nice not to have lag. The worst lag I experience is during a Windows update that is downloading in the background. Once the update is completed the issue resolved. I have also had issues when my web browser updates and again the problem usually resolves soon enough. I have also experienced lag when my family has too many devices on our WIFI. I resolved this issue by running CAT5 to my computer. I would say 90% of the lag I have experienced was due to something on my end and not Dark Orbit.
