In a new malware campaign discovered by Palo Alto Unit 42 researcher Brad Duncan, it was found that a fake Flash Player Trojan not only installed a XMRig miner, but it also automatically updated his installed Flash Player. This real Flash installer was downloaded by the Trojan from Adobe's site.

You should only download and install Adobe Flash Player installers directly from the Adobe.com site.
If you see a non-Adobe site offering a Flash installer, just close the browser. These are not the Flash Player installers you are looking for.

I saw that just earlier today _alien10_ in Tech News ...
Flash on the internet has essentially become obsolete. ... It is a huge, consistent attack vector and the only means of viewing Flash content is through the Flash Player plugin. Browser vendors are moving away from plugins, halting Flash content playback automatically and will eventually block Flash content altogether.Jul 25, 2017
I run Windows Defender on a 8.1 old version ... and my settings are for manual ... Flash Player will be obsolete with ought a fight https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/adobe-flash-software-end-nears/
