[SC] Drones

Hi All,

I was playing around on my new server adding weapons and shields to my drones. By accident I put another item in the slot. I was shocked. So I tried others and here what I found that will go into the Drone Weapon/Shield slot. There are items that won't go, but these did. Now some of them are in my Extra Slot on the Ship so I had two on my ship at one time.

Smart Bomb CPU*
Radar CPU
Rocket CPU
Turbo mine CPU2*
Insta-Shield CPU
Ammunition CPU
Targeting Guidance CPU

* I had on my ship already.

What happens to my ship/drone having these items on my ship? Do I have the ability of these items that are on my drone? Do I get extra abilities having two of them at the same time?

Did you have CPU on the ship on the same config as what you do for the drone? For your final question, you can put extras on your drones, giving you the ability of them. Normally you can not have 2 of the same cpu on same config, ship and drone combined.

When I was messing around, I did have 2 on same config. One was on extra (ship) and one was on drone, but I didn't keep any items on the drones. I wasn't sure it helped or hurt me for having them on the drone. I have only weapons or weapons and shields on my drones.

i doubt u get any extra bonus from this. i can check into this if u want me to. my question is why can't new ship's/player's have 10 flax's. i can understand 10 iris's (because they have 2 slot's) just like a apis or zeus drone. but flax's only have 1 slot so what can't player's have 10 flax's? (with still a 10 drone limit)

Some of the extras used to say "Only 1 per config" but I see that has been changed now. I doubt there is a real benefit to more than one on a config. I would really need something else in its place as I don't have enough slots as it for everything.

That was one of the reasons I started this "Post" because I discovered this by accident. I wasn't told or saw that a person could put items on the drone except weapons and shields. If I could put other CPU's on the ship via the Drone that would be great. I don't know if it well help or not. If it will help, it might be a game changer.

after testing this all i can find is (This item can't be equipped to this slot.) seems like if its on your ship it cant go to your drones. but as i also mention why cant players have ten flax's. 10 flax's is basically like having 5 iris's.

I don't know why you can't have all the flaxes you want. I would expect maybe 8 flax drones would be the max because they want you to spend your money on Uridium to buy the last two drones. Iris's can be bid on in the auction house to get your 8 drones and don't have to spend you money or Uridium just credits which is easy to get. Using your money in green keys or outright buying the drones. One way or another its their game and its their rules. It is all about the money in this game. You don't have to be good at this game, just be a wallet warrior.

The rule is 8 flax/iris, then you can get an Apis and a Zeus. Personally I would like to have a Flax equivalent of the AZ to round out my Flax's but what can you do.

 

The Apis and Zues drones are a short term goal for players to aim for. If you where able to have 10 flax drones then the urgency to acquire the Apis and Zues drones would diminish greatly. Although I agree with you, 10 flax drones would help "NEW" players a great deal I don't see it happening. Good point though
