[SC] DJXL.SA.TX Predicted the Merger & how it would go down

Take a Look at this guy had some kind of ESP

This was player DJXL.SA.TX, Aug 20, 2015 this guy knew the merge was going to happen way back when and how it was going to happen. This guy had Ideas that are now in the game.

Maybe DO should had given him a JOB lol He even said how the move was going to go down he Said: East 1 East 2 East 3 into West and make them One server, sure enough he was right.

You can best bet that he got a lot of navigate response, maybe even people thought that he was an idiot for even thinking that back then, but now the servers are like he said they would be who are the idiots now? Below is his post and how it Happen.

yes, that is a good question.

I have 3 accounts on one server... but 2 are US server and the other is G 1 server. so I am sure If they do this move I will have my 2 accounts in US moved to the new USA server, and the G 1 will stay in that location where they move them. say Global servers will all be one or 2 servers since they are always busy... Spain and Germany will be reduced as for the slower servers will be move to busy severs. That is what I am thinking they will do in the near future... Slower server will be placed on vacation players from those server will be relocated. Take for Example...

E1 server E 2 server E 3 are slow servers these days... West, is some what slow but has more activity then the E1 E 2 and E 3... I am sure some of those players would be relocated to West or to an entirely new server. There is no sense having a sever that only has 10 to 30 players on it. They are losing money having Dead servers up and running... It is easier for Darko to relocate these players to a new location.... Inactive players accounts would be marked as SPAM and
deleted to make room on the new maps... Damn I am good lol

DO sending these notifications for players that have not play in a while
WHY DID YOU STOP PLAYING DARK ORBIT???... If you don't play for 2 weeks you will get a note like this... This is the indication that a move is about to happen​

Very easy for any educated person to predict, but yes, he's right.

 

They have always said in the past streams, that server merges would never come.

 

You know the sad part is that individuals have vacated accounts and created New accounts years ago , changed user names and new email addresses ... All DO has to do is Block users from using the same IP address and send a message to the Email addy of a user using an another account

 

If you remember, one of the first things Baracus said when he came to the game was mergers were going to happen. I can't remember who used to be in charge of the team, but that was the guy that would say no mergers ever and would be laughing when he said it.

Sounds good in theory. Problem is, not everyone has a static IP. They start banning people based on IP addresses a lot of innocent players will start losing accounts. EG; A dorms or share house WIFI, could have multiple people playing the game at the same time, should they be banned?
You also have the issue where 2 or more family members play the game from the same IP - Which ones are you going to tell can't play?

There is a lot more issues DO could (and should) deal with aside from people who now have multiple accounts on a single server due to actions taken by DO.

 

The real question is what is the point of this thread past somebody guessing players will end up having ships from multiple servers in the same area? I had mentioned this being a possibility every since they first brought up mergers and was hoping they would actually merge the equipment from the different servers, but no. What they did was move where everyone plays from the separate servers into one. The only real indication that the east servers ships are in the west server environment is that all the east server names have been edited to indicate the server they came from, something we are allowed to change if we want. If you have a single login, but played on different servers, a player should have no real issue. Those with multiple logins just need to play on a single one and be fine as well. I have just included a lot of information to a question that has not been made. So I ask again:

What is the point of this thread?

 

Most of those old accounts the user can't even remember their email accounts or passwords and most of those cases the email service has been vacated. Most folks have gotten new Towers / Laptops and didn't do a back-up. Have you ever looked at the last page off the member list and worked your way forward . I have over the yrs . Thousands of abandoned accounts.

I guess this thread is for Nit-Picking The goals and aims of Dark Orbit and keeping the membership informed. For me I'm still waiting for DO to fulfill their promise of rewarding members from a certain server merge that took 2 weeks to accomplish and I am a member on 1 of those servers. Mexican_Jumping_Bean Lets just remember WE THE USERS are the ones that are spending currency on this game and you and I are just 1 of the many that do ... My point is HOW TO KEEP the memory and entertainment in this game Alive in the Minds and Goals of The Devs and Management and Owners between DO and and her membership

 

Well it would be nice if the OP would come back and expand on the the point. It really looks like somebody had a pint too many and didn't realize what was said was realized a year ago. Unfortunately, we can only get so much when it is the players that really control the action. New games come out all the time. I found this game in the Chrome store when I first started using Chrome and I played the same way most of those accounts you see abandoned did at first. Messed around with it for a couple hours, and forgot about it. It was a few months later when I started playing again and actually got into it. I actually was playing it just to have something to do. A lot of players act like it is the only thing they do. Truth be said, a good number of players have moved around also around the servers because of the players on certain servers. Also, a lot of them just have other things to do that are either more important, like life, or became more fulfilling, like life.

I can tell that DO wanted to fill the maps more so players would stop complaining about them being so dead. Let's see what we have now. Presently we have an event that is practically controlled by some select clans in the US server. I see new players being bullied around by those that played, or paid, for years, causing the new players to become too disgruntled to play and log off forever, adding to the forgotten list of abandoned accounts that DO is working on merging to the correct servers.

I think in the current capacity, they are keeping the game alive in the minds at the corporate office. The real challenge is getting the game back to what it was in the beginning.

 

Yeah, maybe but he knew before hand tho, and how it was going to go down what servers were going where maybe it was a lucky guess lol. I think maybe he was a West or East Player. He even posted an ideas for portal jumps in to other servers maybe that will be later in the future. As I was reading his post a lot of people called him an idiot for thinking the way he did, but now his ideas are bing used by Dark Orbit like color ships, color drones, new ship designs, new gates he posted all that long ago. Well, maybe they Dark Orbit didn't have the knowledge to do that back then.

The real challenge is getting the game back to what it was in the beginning? No, no this is not going to happen. Big Point does not have a good sales team, there is no way that they can get the game like it was before.

Don't get me Wrong, it can be done with a unique type strategy, but not without those type of experts and professionals. Someone that knows about world wide advertising in every city and town, a business office that takes calls 24 hours a day. It takes a special skill to be a pimp, Its not forever one.

I have friends that rap, and have events, they sell out shows in empty venues that no one would ever think twice of going to... but yet thousands people flow them were ever they go. Those are sales people, they know how to promote events and shows, they are money makers and people love them and will follow them to hell, for that matter. Those are skills unfortunately Big Point does not possess in their company anymore those people are long gone enjoying millions, It takes talent to sell ice cubes to an Eskimo, its like Sell Me this pen.

@everyone A bit of bad news and a bit of good news. The bad news is we have experienced some significant issues with the merge of GA5 to GA1 and GA4 to GA2. Ultimately we will have to restart the merge process, our intention is to restart today. We hope for it to be finished later Friday evening or on Saturday, we will have part of the team coming in over the weekend to help get this final merge sorted if needed. Of course we are aware this is a massive pain for the players, we are planning to run a nice login bonus for everyone a short while after merges are complete, however we will add something extra for these instances due to this unusually long downtime

 

Well, can't say I have seen this being done they have give us nothing except CHAT BANs lol.

Maybe they forgot maybe you have to make a post to remind them I have got, no bonus no extra nothing. I know I lost a few days of Premium and Box Doubler and Rabate that is money lost there. I didn't get nothing for it not even a sorry for out inconvenience.

 

Seems login bonuses from the merges are a thing. I must say, quite impressive they are too.

Now all we need is to find a way to run events more smoothly (LAG is horrendous) and include something for new players.
Pirate gates have different level entry requirements, why can't Hitac be similar?
One Hitac for the established players to fight over and a second for players <15. Add a safety aspect to it so during the event players lvl16> can't attack players shooting the low level hitac. Or better still have is spawn on a map that only <15 can enter.
Add Hitac missions that new players can have a chance at completing.
