  2. In episode 6 you were talking about sending sep and prom to your ship for your gens. Sending 1500 of each ore is a waste, as even when you are not online that gen boost still decreases over time. It would be better if you have around 50 of each sep and prom on your ship at all times and just use 5 or 10 units at a time on your gens as and when you need them. The rest of the sep that you will be saving can go towards your lazers and rockets. 50 of each is enough for over 8 hours of game play.

Your videos are a really good source of info though, keep up the good work:)

  3. I use 1500, because it replenishes quickly enough in my opinion, based off my play time cx

The amount you send needs to based off how much you play. I don't play for long periods of time, so I can afford wasting it xD

  4. That's fair enough, I understand that you don't play on that account a lot. However, for a new player that does, they need to send sep and prom to their ship that will cover their playing time. I wouldn't want people to think they need to send 1500 sep and prom just for the gens.

  5. Yea, but it helps. It lasts well over a week, allowing you to build it up, and during the entire week, you can ship prom or sep to sell or boost damage, instead of wasting time to send the ores to boost just generators.

  6. Sending 50 of each ore to booster your gens takes only minutes. What you are suggesting is sending 1500 of each ore which takes hours. That ore can be put to better use. Like boosting lazers and selling the prom, only with my way the player can sell more and have a longer lazer boost over the entire week.

Also the player can send that 1500 of each ore, sell 1450 of the prom and put 1450 of the sep on lazers and rockets, which leaves you 50 of each for your gens. So no time is wasted sending ore just to boost gens.

Having sep wasting away on your gens when you are offline is just bonkers.

Now I am not trying to have a go at you as I think your guide is very good and all new players should see them. I just feel strongly on this matter.:)

  8. Heya!
Not a new episode at all, I posted it nearly two years back, but never updated it here, so I wanted to add it in. Plus, there are other great guides by TerrorTheLegend and YoungBlood (Alex). Legend covers much more mid- to late- game content, especially how to efficiently spend your money IF you wish to. Alex covers some good parts on PvP, more than what Legend shares. And there is a good text guide to Darkorbit, even though it is old, a majority is still relevant!

    Enjoy :)

Folks .. This game takes dedication , self discipline , creative/ingenuity , ... Patience and a few dollars from time to time. I'm in the game for the long haul after starting my 11th yr here playing with 6 accounts across 6 servers. Basically a player could in a 3 month period w/o being Premium could have this on their ship . The only Premium status I've ever gotten to enjoy was when DO passed it out. I have been following KilerStreak for a good while here in the forum . great work Killer
