I have a question.

I was under the impression that demilitarized zones were "safe" areas. Yet time and again I have appeared at the jump gates only to have another player blast me into oblivion?

Love the game but just had that question if your allowed to fire on other players in the demilitarized zone?

PvP maps (4-X) do not grant any Demilitarized Zones, even at the jump gates. Moment you jump, no protection.

On maps where you transition from one company map to another company map through gates, such as the 2-4 to 3-3 gate, you are granted temporary protection (Approx 25 seconds). In that type of protection, you will not be able to repair nor regenerate your shields until you are out of the DMZ.

 

Also if you are arriving at a port in your own company map, you are still subject to damage from another ship for 5 seconds. So be aware of this and if need be, jump the port then return to be 100% sure you are safe.

Not anymore. There is a glitch allowing certain players to shoot you on port. I had it happen this week twice. Same clan but the 2nd pop was the best as I was reading quest info on the nix when I heard the shots start and looked at my ship. I had enough chance to run left but was too low to do anything. The entire time I was cloaked. Another time was on port cloaked watching a fight. Suddenly Im getting shot. Same clan. Go figure. Pet was not out either time. So pay attention to who is around and either jump out to another map or just leave the area to play the game regularly in another map.

 

Not sure if it was your ship or your pet that shot 1st, but that was why you got shot at the nyx. It was actually pretty funny,lol.

 

As I was reading quests its hard for me to be shooting anything. We have noticed in the clan the past few days more than once sitting at a port and getting shot on while cloaked with no pet out. Just parked. I heard from someone that I was 'just off the nix a bit'. Well I wouldn't know I was trying to choose a quest in the DMZ. But that's the way of a game that's shrouded in possible glitches and issues where some ships do things others cant.
