[UI] DRONE DAMAGE

No, I was trying to help with different Ideas. I look at my drone damage and check it after a few trips into the black. I also have the CPU as back up, and it has come in handy too.

I was trying to come up with ways for the people who are caught off guard in losing their drone. That they may need other ways to check their drones.

Some people are saying that the drone damage is "fine" or to "git gud", but fail to recognize that it is a pointless mechanic that adds nothing but rage and frustration to an already frustrating game. If it was originally intended to combat botters, then why add the auto repair cpu? Its a punitive mechanic designed to extract money and resources from players for no reason other than they can.

 

You can't they repair drones now.

CPU only works if you have the credits and uri for the repairs. I check my drones regular never use a cpu why? cause i did and i musta not had the uri or credits and i had 1 iris drone pop. Here is what most don't know, if your drone get's popped if you build or purchase another one you will have to upgrade it to lvl 16 again but i didn't i sent in a ticket to support and asked them to give it back i learned my lesson and boom there is was back in my inventory. Many make the other mistake and build and start to upgrade and send a ticket to support and they say they can't help you cause you already have all of them.

 

Or you just need to stop being a cry baby, use your head, and that thing called a brain to get things done. It's not difficult, if you're having trouble that is YOUR problem, and a blatant lack of intelligence problem at that. There is no way for it to be difficult to deal with your drones, you're given a basically free option to repair them, therefor you have 2 options to take care of your drones, check them like an intellectual (which you don't even really need brains to do so but it seems some of you do) or get the repair cpu, and if the cpu fails to repair them, DO HAS to compensate you your drones back. Don't be dumb.

 

I'd like to add .. there must at least warning pop-up message for 95% severe drone damage notification..on screen

 

It's called Hanger, click on your drones and poof, drone damage, super easy, takes literally no time.

As people had said, it isn't rocket science. Yes, it may take 3 or 4 minutes to do the check and repair but it is worth it. Unless you like to loose your drones.

Just go to your hanger click on any ship that has a (GOLD STAR) and open the ship for review. Then click the tab with the drone on it. There you will see all the drones you have. Page down to check all your drones. If the % is too high and for me 25 - 50% is too high. I click on the drone and there are three buttons (bottom left) that will light up. Sell, Buy Now (only if you have less then 8 drones in your inventory), and Repair. Click Repair and you have 0% damage on your drone now after the repair. But you will lose a level on your drone. But that is OK because your will go back into the Black and hunt and kill. Before you know it your Drone is back up to 6th Level.

There are two configuration so check both configuration. You repair one the other config is fixed too, but check anyway. It only takes a few seconds.

The mechanic of drones taking damage? I already did... It's logic. Those drones are flying around, when you battle, they would logically take damage, so when you explode, they go bye bye too... It's pretty simple, and only the newbies [REMOVED] are crying about this. This game has been out for YEARS, it's so much easier to make uridium and credits compared to back in the day, the auction is especially cheap if you're not bidding on cloak cpus and boosters, and the ship designs in weekly. What you're doing, is demanding the game, which a ton of us have conquered, be easier for you, because you're either too dumb, or too lazy to do it yourself.

 

Keep it or remove it, I don't really care. Doesn't affect me at all

 

That is not really a strong argument to keep this "drone damage", otherwise why not extend this logic you speak of in a game?

Where is our ship/drone fuel? Do we run our ships on magic or something? Where is our "ship damage"(that need to repair), it's not like somehow your drones don't explode when your ship does... why do we fully repair our ship on death but drones we say "Oh, just put that on my tab - I'll pay for("repair") it later". Where is our "Pet damage", "ship design damage", "portal damage" or even "laser/shield etc damage"...


The point is really just why are we even able to lose items we have upgraded and obtained(not like it's cheap)? What's the purpose? To force a change of pace? Don't need to make it so you lose your drones to accomplish that.* I'll just end this post with saying I've never lost a drone, and I don't see why anyone should just because they forgot to check some "drone damage". ("because it's always been like this", is not that good of a reason either)

*It's easy to say it is just there to try get more money from people... but sure the fact you can lose your drones adds something to the game. Whether its just the feeling that you can lose your drones, or when someone actually does... and what comes after that, I'm sure some people have laughed when that has happened but also sure some didn't find it funny. Guess as a sidenote I'll say I'm not absolute in my position on this, but I wouldn't miss it. (since I don't find it fun, more of just a chore/tedious to keep track of)

 

They will probably in the future change it cause I remember when it was the best when you popped a player and they dropped seprom you felt like you were rewarded for the kill but they changed that and you don't loose seprom anymore when your ship is destroyed while carrying sep in cargo.

 

I agree! What is the point in having drone damage? Totally pointless feature. But then again many things in this game are totally pointless.

 

I guess everyone is a bot for you. and no drone dmg was never the purpose for bots. Its just your nonsense thinking. Who cares about bots anyway?

 

If repairing your drones is too difficult for you, then you deserve to lose them. Why are people always trying to make the game easier? Its not that difficult as is, making it easier is just ridiculous. Stop whining and man up or go play barbie.

 

The point is that is the way the game was created, if they change everything the noobs cry about it wont be Dark Orbit anymore. If the game is to hard for you, go play a game that isnt.

 

The game has hundred of other things that are already difficult, if you dont like our thread do not post here then.

We are actually trying to make the game WELCOME new players, you dont see new players right? that is because the game is impossible for them with all the tough implemented stuff

 

No, this game is not difficult AT ALL.

No one is bothering to view or read any of the existing guides out there on the web that are perfectly detailed to help them get through this, even when UFEs are out hunting.

 

Its logical to check on your drone damage, just like health checks for your body, checks on your car, or updates for your computer. Did the OP loose a drone? I keep all of mine, I don't have Apis or Zues, at the same level so I don't have to bother scrolling through to insure they are all ready for me to play. If you have more than one ship you use, you should be going to the hanger anyways. When you log on, how difficult is it to drop in to see where you left off on damage?
