Seems there is a LOT of work going into allowing "inactive" accounts to login to the new servers.
Can we presume there is at least some work being done to slow down the exodus of previously active players no longer logging in "since" the merges?

It really is disheartening to see so many honest players who have dedicated years to this game just stop logging in, clans that a few months ago had 40 members with 15 to 20 active daily now reduced to 3 or 4 active players.

Things keep going like this DO will need to start planning the next wave of merges to get player numbers up on remaining servers.

There are still issues with players with previously active accounts not being able to log in to any server previously played on or being able to log in but getting the choose company screen instead of going right to hangar/back page on that server.

Been a couple of months for me.

There will never be enough done at a time to stop the exedus. Players leave for many reasons. Knowing the reason, the real reason, is hard to find out. Surveys are sent out when its detected a player has stopped playing on a server. Sometimes I get it and I log in daily.

 

cut out some of the money grabs. Bet you see some players. Used to be you just maybe needed premium and ammo. Now its premium, boosters, ammo, gates, guns, ships, designs, log disks, fuel but wait there's more!!

No really cut the costs as the guys running the maps all day have the edge now as they also get the added benefits from their extra help in PVP which is broken now.

 

Not that hard to find out when you remain in contact with those you know suddenly decide to leave - AGAIN.
Nothing new to keep interest (all the recent new content is aimed at rank chasers which is a completely pointless goal for the majority of players), too many botters, lag issues, autolock, just to name a few of the most common reasons.

I too get the "why did you stop playing" surveys and login every day.
Problem with the survey is, too narrow in its scope, is ignored by DO, most players who quit aren't going to bother filling out a survey that really doesn't cover the issues many quit over and they will never get feedback on.

If DO really want to stop the exodus they need to start listening more to active players and not just pander to the top 100 on a given server.
They need to communicate with players, MCC thread is over a year old and has not received one post from a dev or community manager since it was started - Over a year later and not even a "we're still working on this" or "the issue is still a priority we would like to find a balance for", not even a "we're still reading your posts and your participation in the thread is appreciated" - Instead, we get nothing and are left feeling the thread was only started so it would "look" like DO actually saw it as an issue.

The rest of us have no realistic goals within the game - And feel totally ignored by developers. the top few lvl 24+ players recently got 100 new missions AND 3 new (BL) maps to strut their stuff in- If you're not in the elite few bracket (24+) DO don't care about you.
NB; yes the 100 new missions were for 22+ players, which includes that small (lvl24+) group DO balance the rest of the game for.

The top 100 on each server would spend the least money over a period of time as most have millions of URI from years of playing. It is the group (majority) behind them that have no interest or chance of being number one that need attention from Devs.
