    • Update: New limits for Lasers, Rockets, Generators and Shields: Lasers, Rockets, Generators and Shields now have a limit of 1,000,000 due to technical reasons (a stack overflow for ore in refining causes problems).
Just what my title sais ,,Thank you for punishing us honest players.

  1. Never once saw an issue until logging in today and trying to put sep on my ship. Odd how we can suddenly have another non-issue become a fixed issue.
So many problems and this an accounting fix?

  2. It is a bad move from orbit to limit normal players. Yet bots still gather in hordes in all the maps.

This is one of the worst moves orbit ever made to punish us normal players.

    +1.
Stack Overflow hmm, how about fixing the Bot Overflow first?
Congratulations on removing yet one more incentive to log in.
These days I will usually log in, transfer sep, collect daily calendar gift, do daily mission, see bots still popping NPCs mechanically, sigh at what was has sadly become of a once great game then log out and go play something else where cheats are not allowed to prosper.

  5. If a player has millions of minerals on their ship they are not really playing DO anyways their only logging in to upgrade that ship with minerals for no reason but maybe to try and sell it otherwise my skylab produces enough minerals i can play all day everyday and skylab stays full. So for the players that say their gonna leave the game over this is stupid just coming to forums to complain.

  6. Maybe we are taking a break and building up sep for one of the insanely high number of uber aliens we have to kill on a quest?
Maybe we are on the 10k goli quest and don't want to run out of sep while hunting.

Really doesn't matter no one has raised hell about an error putting sep on lasers. A quick flip through the forums just reading the subjects show what is really angering players.

    Its not sep.

  7. Thanx to all who replied.
It is crazy game here I guess.

The change to the way Sep is stacked is a reasonable change, heading in the right direction toward some sort of "balance".
Unfortunately it is going to be a long time before the new "balance' has any affect on the game - other than for those who currently have unlimited Sep having a huge advantage over everyone else.

I am curious though, How does a "stack overflow" in "refining" affect what you have sent to your ship. If having over 1,000,000 Sep on lasers, shields or rockets does indeed cause a "stack overflow", then all those with more than the limit should have it removed - To "fix" the problem of stack overflow now not in 2 or 3 years when they have used up the millions of sep they have.
It really is a shame when game developers play customers for fools by making up stuff to justify change but then this has been the way DO has operated for many years, I don't expect it to change.

Again Devs have made a change and begun treating a symptom of the disease that is destroying the game.
Players new and old are still leaving everyday faster than they could ever be replaced, One of the worst aspects of the game (MCC) is gaining more and more of a foothold everyday - And a change that gives many of them an advantage over honest players who want to play the game as it was intended to be played is the answer?

Sorry Devs but recent history shows quite clearly - You don't have a clue when it comes to how and why DO is played. You seem to completely disregard the fact server numbers are dropping faster than insects in a bushfire.
Stop putting bandaids on issues and fix the bloody game - Remove all Sep over 1,000,000 from EVERY players who has more than the new limit - This would be called BALANCE and FAIR PLAY, there should be no player with 35 billion sep on lasers.

As of a few days ago there should be no player with more than 1,000,000 Sep on lasers. FAIR PLAY = What is good for one is good for ALL.

Would you recommend DO to your friends at the moment?
    I know i wouldn't..

  9. Everyone who abused the Seprom bug has been banned and/or removed. No one is out there with billions.
And don't complain so much, do you have any idea how easy it is to stack up Seprom? Max out you lab, and ship it anytime you can, bam.

And the main issue is not Seprom. Its players killing weaker, even brand new players, and going unpunished.

who are you kidding a reasonable change?, its so the botrs have the same sep as the legit players,
are you at DO so blind that you cant see all the devs fixes are biased towards the cheats.
you never seem to have a technical issue with the amount of bot';rs on a map.
this game just gets worse and worse..

    Seriously you believe that?
I could name at least 6 players I know who each have billions of Sep. (4 of them in one clan)
I've actually seen the screenshots in Discord when they were arguing over who had the most. (When BL missions were announced and the first one wanted them to dump their Sep for Promi - At least 3 of them now have over 30 Promi lasers and have not completed the BL missions [still have their Sep])
*One even has over 8 billion on rockets.

    Maxed out Lab (189 Sep P/H) you can ship 9,079 (9079 * 189 - 48.037Hrs) every two days.
That's 90,790 rounds every 2 days - I did a session in BL map earlier with my clan, used over 140K.
Yes i know you can easily stack 1 million rounds of sep - By not playing the game for a few weeks. Roughly 22 days to stack 1,000,000 rounds, if you don't use any while stacking it.

And you're right the attitude of many players toward others is the biggest problem the game has. I've said as much many times.

NB; Nowhere did i complain about it being hard to stack Sep - It simply means NOT PLAYING the game for a while.
Although you can now craft Seprom, as long as you don't mind it costing you more Sep (+URI) getting the materials to craft than you receive from the finished product.

Hey if a botter wants to take nearly a month off to stack a million sep, I call that a good thing. More likely as their current sep supplies run out they will switch to Promi as it is far easier to build up for endless NPC killing.

  13. You think they would fix the sep bugs in the first place but they always take the easy way out

I think Seprom has outlived its usefulness. Serprom was created at a time before LF-4, havoc drone designs, drone formations, damage boosters, lv 16 upgrades, PETS, skill trees, etc...

I have a lv 20 skylab. I use up my daily allowance of seprom within 15 minutes of galaxy gate/ bbk-ing. 1 million seprom will last me for a couple of hours at most. I would like to see Seprom nerfed to 35%/25% (+5% above Promerium). The current situation with Seprom makes me feel like I am being punished for wanting to play this game.

  15. I have been putting some thought into the Seprom issue and now have to admit that its not really that bad of a deal. I have been telling players for years that this is not supposed to be an "entire life" type of game, meaning you should play for a little while and and then go do something else. That could mean do something besides shoot on the game or get off the game completely and go live life. I know the longer I have been playing the less time I actually even have to play. That being said, provided I do my daily transfers, I should never really run out of Seprom even with the cap. Now all that said:

Why, with all these features that has come out over the years, do we really have to boost anything with ore in the first place? Those with all the latest and greatest items are bound to come out on top Seprom or not. Why are we throwing another 60% boost into the mix? There is always talk about the UFE snuffing out all of the noobs in 1 or 2 second blast. Why not kill off the ore upgrades? This would help new players not run off so fast, and make it more of an even playing field based on actual equipment/bio. I know, I know, the high level npc will take longer to kill. Trust me, it takes me forever for some of them anyways as is. However, players are in such a rush to do things, they really need to slow it down. Perhaps this way after a week of new content, players will not be back to "There is nothing to do on this game."

Lol, yes, kill the ore, kill the upgrades, nerf all the ships, make it an "even playing field". At the same time, do away with rank in game, the levels, and the skill tree (aka pilot bio). In a battle you won't win or lose, you both get a point for competing. Gates should also be on the chopping block, because who does those anymore? Hades is dead every Sunday. Right?

The game is bad, lots of bugs in the code and cheaters allowed to play without punishment. But he biggest problem in this game is the players, evidenced by the above comments in this thread.

  17. An issue with capping SEP without notifying anyone that they are doing this is a simple fact that we cannot sell SEP for credits or worse we cannot transfer it back to our SkyLabs to free up cargo space for collecting other cargo. I just came back into town to this realization and now since I have a million or more SEP in lasers, rockets, or shields I am stuck with 4K SEP on my ship that I cannot do a damn thing with. I am a SEP user which i'm also one of the easiest kills in the game. I use it mainly for NPC's. Yes without it as mentioned above, it does take longer to destroy an NPC. D.O. support has already nerfed my account a long time ago which I deal with daily but now that they have done this, they should at least they clear out anyone's cargo space that has SEP transferred to it.
Geez this is just pure brutality at its best, thanks D.O. you power played us again!! :(
