    Hi everyone,

I know that there are quite some threads around about the state of the game, what was done and what has been done. Before I see myself out, I just want to provide a public feedback on how I see the game while I am playing it now and then, back in the days when things were really different. Please note that this will not be me crying about the game, cheats and everything else that might come up, but rather a post that could be used to improve the game and bring it back to the true, loyal players. So, here we go...

    1. Many positive improvements in the game: equipment much easier to get! And I really mean this, back in the days it was really, really hard to get good equipment. Right now, just by logging in the game every day, you could get plenty of LF4s that I could not imagine happening in the past.
    2. Multi company clans are ruining the game, for sure. I am not going to provide ideas on how to solve the issue with them, but considering the low amount of players on the maps, the multi company clans are real pain in the a**. Please work on this, otherwise they will continue ruining the experience of the players (including newbies too).
    3. As far as I can see, considering my technical knowledge in IT and also considering my self as someone who loves to play different games in my (limited) free time, I can state for sure that huge population on the servers is currently running under illegal programs (i.e. bots). The developers should really try and solve this as soon as possible, because the illegal programs are known to have completely destroyed many much popular games. The examples are around us almost every day. I was wondering if I should say this or not, but I would say that ~65-70% of the players right now are running illegal programs, as much in lowers that much in upper maps as well. I am experienced player and I have found my way around those players, but I can for sure say that for the real newbies, playing the game for the first time, it will be HELL to complete any missions. Players with Major ranks (and above), shooting 80k damage on Lordakias in X-2 maps? Cannot be more real than that. The moment you see the Lordakia in front of your eyes, it is literally gone. If you ask me, no new events, no weapons or any improvements are more worth than dealing with the illegal programs running on the servers right now. Whoever says that the illegal programs are hard to be identified; that is absolutely wrong. I was able to pick their pattern just by looking at their behavior for an hour or so. So please, let's not pretend that the illegal programs are rocket science for a moment.
    4. Servers are lagging badly, not just over weekends. Not sure why is this, but, it's pain. Find the cause of it and try to resolve this as soon as possible, because many other games out there, right now, are running servers on which tens of millions players are simultaneously playing and no one is experiencing any lags!
    5. The most important point - find a way to stop UFEs shooting newbies all around the maps! This is a show stopper. I mean, someone will say - "Wait, it was always like that, wasn't it?". As a matter of fact, true! But, people were not shooting 150k damage back in the days. You actually had the chance to survive the fight and run to a port. Right now? Nope, you are long gone. As soon as I see the enemy ship on my screen, I am already back in base repairing. I believe that there is no need to share my logs as an example of this, or is there?
At the end of this post, I would like to say that I always enjoyed playing this game, no matter how good or bad it was on moments. Considering the limited time I have and the fact that I cannot decide how I play this game, but rather the illegal programs, the UFEs and God knows who else decides if I will be playing or will be spending my time repairing in base, it is time to see my self out. I will repeat once again that this is not a post to cry about the game, but hopefully raise awareness (although I am sure that it has already been raised just by searching the forum) so that proper actions are taken and the game is back to the normal state it should have already been.

    Thank you for reading.

Do hope that things will change, for good. This game deserves that. The community does deserve it.

Double shield boosted with extra boost plus level 16 BO2s and extra HP killed in 1.5 shots.
I war any MCC clan or botting clan and best I can hope for after years of play is to kill them while they are AFK.
My fav is when the cheats outfit with their bots lol.
This game has gone to the dogs with no response from developers.
Why ask us a opinion on a issue if it will not be dealt with when then community points it out.
Some posts have been here for years and nothing done.

  6. There are actually 4 very simple solutions to the problems of Dark Orbit . . .

    1) Remove the feature for players to jump chip and warp ship to enemy maps--portal guarding will be a thing again, therefore making it extremely difficult for players to invade enemy maps and regroup with their hunting group after they've been destroyed.

    2) Orient most PvP Quests to destroy enemies on their company's own maps--this incentivizes UFEs to stay on their own maps; killing invaders and defending newbies.

    3) Extend the Leonov's home bonus to the uppers as well, this will revitalize the original purpose of the ship and help newbies so much in the long-run.

    4) Remove MCC.

    1. Just respawn in the map you get destroyed in, cloak, hide, repair - you're back in the fight. Portal guarding is pointless these days, portal fights suck unless it is 10 vs 1.

    2. Better idea would be to make same company kills during clan wars count toward missions (members of your company ARE enemies if in an enemy clan in every aspect except missions). I've been doing "miner madness" just to see how long it takes, so far I have got over 700 kills since starting it - 148 of which actually count off the mission - Unless you are in a clan that will push kills for you (totally against the rules), you aren't completing this mission in a reasonable time.

    3. Leo is just fine, once you can get into the uppers you shouldn't be in a Leo.

    4. MCC aren't going away - All we can hope for is that devs find ways to limit their influence over everything DO.

  8. A lot of people share your views but I must admit, some things I disagree with but most I do agree, this is my verdict:

Equipment is easier to get now but issues you mentioned stop people from wanting to play.
Everyone knows MCC is an issue and it's still unfixed, face it BP don't care.
The bots are a problem but lets face it, if MCC was fixed more people would be encouraged to not use them and spend no time actually playing.
The fact most missions are so grindy really isn't helping their case, there's just nothing original about the game anymore.
The ranking system and the way it works also encourages bot usage a lot, I'm sure everyone in the top 10 on majority of servers just cheated their way to it and it shows no skill at all because of how honour works.
My server doesn't lag and I have no complaints to do with this.
Yes, the unfriendly game for newbie players is the big downfall. They shut down another game and moved it to DO and the majority of the players left within a week. Why?
Because they cannot grow their ship at all. It's impossible. All the aliens are either taken by cheaters or you are destroyed constantly by the same group of people.
I've been UFE for a long time, and I have to admit I've been very unmotivated to play lately because of the issues you mentioned and the fact that MCC really destroys PvP.
They nerfed the Star Formation which is what made PvP fun for me, real kick in the teeth.

I help new players when I come across them. But I'm UFE, I want to fight others. I don't want to spend every day logging in and getting 40 whispers saying "hey, can you help me with *name alien here*". It just gets tiring and it makes me not want to login even further because I feel like I have to help because no one else will.

lets face it, new players will be on the game for 10 mins then sack it, all the botrs are shooting npcs. full ufe ships shooting them so they cant complete quests, the whole game needs a serious re-think.
and to be honest, the developers arn't worth 10 pence, the same old constant events for the cheats.

  10. That's what annoys me most about this game. It use to embrace new players and make them want to play by seeing the constant FE fighting in 2008. But now. Now, they just don't care. New players are dismissed in this game entirely and left to be shot over and over by stronger players who have missions to kill ships so why do anything but shoot new ones? Seriously need a protection for them of some kind otherwise this game will never grow any bigger.

Time and time again, too much, too late, the damage has been done. With greedy developers and their inability to prevent even the most obvious cheat, have make many players abandon support and hope.

  12. No doubt that the game has taken some damage. Thing is that it can be repaired. Developers must act asap before everything goes to hell.
