[SC] Who brought us back to 2011 - 2013?

Most of us buy Uridium on 50% EP and Honor Days for years now and for the Past serveral years, we get a Mega Happy Hour or a 400% Helix. That's the Norm.

But to log in yesterday and see "Happy Hour" 2 Times the amount of Uridium 200%?

Did some new guy throw the wrong switch on the Sale or what?

I had my own Phrase for it which I can not Post in here, but what are everyones thoughts of seeing 2011 thru 2013 Sale Pricing yesterday?

I think the idea is to trick new players into buying uridium as they do not know about mega happy hour and helix hour when they start. So they think they get a good deal. Later when they see mega happy hour or helix hour they might feel cheated on one hand but on the other hand they might buy even more as once again: they think they got an even better deal than the last time.

 

Really was only x2 i don't think i have seen that in a while maybe it's cause they had x4 for like 6 hours each day on the weekend. Hopefully it's not or i will wait along with some others who need uri

 

Good idea to wait for helix hour. Honestly it is the same with all the logfiles and booty keys deals: most of the time it is far better to just buy uridium during helix hour and then buy them in the shop with a rebate package. Just a quick example for everyone:


The Question:

Example flash sale booty keys: 150 booty keys for €20 --> good deal or not?

During helix hour you can get roughly 240.000 uridium for €20

If you would buy booty keys in the shop with rebate (does add another €2) you could buy

240.000 / (1500 x 0,75) = 213.333333... booty keys

So in the end we have

€20 for 150 booty keys
€22 for 213 booty keys

Seems obvious which one is better

Unfortunately, this is the case with almost all 'flash sales'. Nearly always it is better to buy uridium and then buy the items in the shop or galaxy generator than it is to actually use the 'flash sale'.

Advanced players may know this but I doubt new players will...
