for the bots to run in all the maps, they need the coding from the game, and guess who does the coding, theres no way a 2nd party could code the bots as good as they are now, theres too many variations,
well done dark orbit, awsome bot !

 

I have zero faith that DO can create a new client that would prevent botting/cheating. I keep taking longer and longer breaks from this game and can't progress very well. On the one rank I can compete on, have watched the botters fly past me in NPC kills... thousands of kills a day to my hundred or so. Being an honest player is frustrating. Kind of hope this game dies for good. Would not be surprised if (and when) it does.

 

i readed something about detection script, good blablabla, but it doesnt work.
logged in several times on idiotic times, still see the players bot, responce time is automatic on lock for a bot, idiotic movement that normal players cant do, i face now the reality,, after 10 years with a long break,,, its game over for normal player....

 

So... I logged in the game after like 3 months, flew through like 10 maps (x-2, x-3, x-6, x-7 .. of each company) and on every of those maps I found at least 5 botters (x-3) were basically full (even people with colonels and hecate ships do it)... And the thing is... who cares..? Might as well just buy a bot for 5e and let it do its thing... some of those people have been botting for more than 6 months and they are still enabled to play...

Dunno... no point playing this game if you cant send one or two admins on servers and perm ban those who OBIVOUSLY bot... like... you don't need scripts for that.....

But yea.. I'd rather make more designs and packages so you can squeeze a bit more money out of players

Only 4 pages about this topic. Maybe thats the reason why they dont do something about the problem. We got 250+ pages about this (German forum). Also on other forums. Guess its useless to write in other forums.

Ill wait for some news, since years. Hit me up if you got something .

 

lets face it some of the missions before took months to finish and they just keep making more very large missions that would take forever to finish so most choose to bot them especially since they are not banning them and everyone just see's others going up for years while we gruell out our missions to finish it they go do other fun stuff while their bots take care of the boring missions they have to offer.

 

With the tools available now regular players are at a serious disadvantage. I just had another high ranked player that spent a ton of money on the game tell me he was done.

This is after last night where a member of a clan on my server who is known for using bots fought me in a map. I used infection ammo on him and watched it have no effect. It was nice seeing his vengie get hit with my green shots and nothing. Like the ice rockets. Like the slow down mines.

They can't stop the bot simples ever wonder why the bot is back online within a few hours of being down while in the past they was down for days maybe the maker of the bot knows the update in advanced time

 

For the 100. Time:

Bots don't affect pvp in any way except auto- lock.
Maybe players have macros like rsb/x4 switching but that's it.
Both ice rockets and laser shots have a miss chance because of enemy player's evasion from pilot sheet.

Bots just work with the game's possibilities, they don't change any damage, hit chances, shield power etc etc.



...nevertheless boting provides all the equipment, ammo, some even use auto lock which combined is very unfair and annoying, that's for sure.

 

Then something is very broken if a vengie or pussat can park and take a full guns pounding from a cyborg in drill while sitting in moth with NO shields. Gets more interesting when you use infection and see it miss.

But sure no one has access in the game to anything 'extra'

Hey I heard uri items could be sold for uri back to the player <giggle> oh wait and gate spins are gonna be actually fair to everyone <huge laugh> oooooooooh wait and they will nail the guys pushing in the current event <I gotta stop I cant make up too many fake items>

By the way in allowing so many 'players' to use outside items it only causes us more distrust.

 

Marc, you are writing way too much strange stuff.

When I see you assuming unrealistic things like players/ "programms" changing damage, hit probabilities etc. I can't know later on what is meant ironically and what is meant seriously.
That's why I won't answer to your posts anymore. No fact based communication possible.

 

Believe what you like but there is a reason jackpot battle and the payout was removed. Some of us know people who tell the honest story.

By the way there is no way to 'adjust the game'? I just caught a lightning vengie today asleep in 2-3. I shot the pojees out of it and it would not die. Came to life, emps and runs to port. Jumps port full hp NO SHIELDS AT ALL. So I must have a lagged out 'dusty' computer with cache issues.

 

Day 3 working on Lodakia timed quest. Can't compete.

 

It has got to the point where the bots seem to be the winner in this game. Sure they may be able to fight them off for a bit then, they will be back again and again that is a Fact.

The situation here is to beat at their own game. Have you ever heard the term if you can't beat them join them? You may not like the Idea but it is what it is and maybe the only way to stop them. Long ago the Mafia could not beat the police so the Mafia got smart and became the Police

Keep in mind that this is not the same DARK ORBIT from long ago, There is no more jackpot arena the way to beat them is to have Darkorbit make their own bot and sell it. As it is Dark Orbit is losing lots of money to bot manufactures. It is something to look at in the long run it will make lots of money for darkorbit.

The only solution is simple. Dark Orbit Makes Their Own BOT and sells it to everyone or they keep losing money to the Crooks and we know who that is. Maybe the only way to resolve this problem without shutting down the game Darkorbit develops different kinds of bots and sells them and people will buy them DO makes the money again This will put the bot manufactures out of business.

If you think about it, Dark Orbit is not the same game since the Area shut down, now its just a game that has no purpose other than a social place to meet your old friends. With no Arena there is no reason why Darkorbit does not develop their own bot, This will put the Rats out of business.

 

i feel the pain.
the daily quest kill 20 lordakia takes me normaly 3 minutes, now it took me 20 minutes due the massive botting in the x.2 map.
before i could click a lordie the bot whiped out all npc's around me.
what is it PB says, there are no botters ? ,than what it is i see every morning, yes, morning, its 7:50AM here now.
dailies is all i do, there is no fun due bots and other stuff players have running.

 

I here you, I kind of go in spurts. I try to do the daily's but due to bots I have eliminated some of the ones that I do. Now that I think about it, I think I am going to make a review of the daily quests. I know some are very helpful in the beginning but others are really a waste of time and effort. I used to run through them daily on several servers but now, its too much of a job.

 

Why is it so hard for this game to stop botters?
