[GI] LF4S

Hiya all just after a bit of advice,

Once I've got all LF4's whats the next laserr I should be working on getting?

Should it be prom laser, or should I focus on upgrading my LF4S?

Any help would be appreciated

LF-4 lasers are good laser to have. I have a bunches of them myself, but now I slowly moving them out LF-4 for the LF-4 MD, HP, PD. These you do not have to Upgrade and are pretty close to damage too. You get one of these each month free from the daily bonus. The LF-4 I have are mostly 16 Level. I have several ships at the ready, but my main ship has the best. Higher the level more damage and better to hit the target. If you want to invest your money and Uri then do so. But wait for the night that DO has for UPGRADE SPECIAL check your calendar for which date it is. I don't see one for this month, I don't know why either. Once a month DO has a night that they reduce the cost of Upgrading. Before you do that wait for a Saturday Night and buy your Uri at 400% more. That is only the time to buy Uri. It is every Saturday night. That way you can Upgrade your Lasers, Rocket Launcher, and Generators too at a better cost to you. There are more items to Upgrade and I have done that too. It is up to you. Better the equipment better the ship for attack and defense.

Last but not least. I not pushing for this because I let 2 of my ships expire on its Premium. But if you have Premium you get a 5% off in the shop, and now and then DO on the Daily Bonus will have a 25% off special. You have to have Premium to get that special. When you get it, now you have 30% off everything even Upgrades. You can buy your drones too at the same discount too. Go wild I did. Buy your P.E.T. gear and Pro too (3rd Level) which is the best.

It's a matter of simple math and common sense,

An LF-4 laser does 200 base damage per successful hit on x1 ammunition, and 212 when upgraded to level 16.
Prometheus Laser does 210 base damage, but overdrives with an additional 200 damage every 5 seconds, so basically after 5 seconds it will deal 410 damage. so if you do the math you'll find that eventually Prometheus lasers do more damage.
For example, if you shoot 1 level 16 LF-4 laser on x1 ammo for 11 seconds, you'll do a total of 2332 damage, while with Prometheus lasers you'll do 2710 !

So your full base damage with Prometheus lasers on x1 ammo in a 35 slots Goliath after 11 seconds will be 94.850, while being only 81.620 with level 16 LF-4

Also note that Prometheus lasers do 3.5 more damage to Blacklight aliens, so with the A-BL ammo, the damage will be just ridiculous ! and there're 10 missions rewarding you with 1 Prometheus laser each, you'll have to get the rest yourself

With that explained, it's up to you if you prefer to work hard crafting your Prometheus lasers or just buy uri and upgrade your LF-4's.
