[TI] Unusual Lag

About 9PM EST, I and half of the server experienced a skipping sort of lag.
NPCs were not moving and did not fire. I was able to move and fire between the skips of lag. Several people have complained about not being able to log in for hours and I think I'm now hitting the same problem. My game has been trying to connect for about 10 minutes now.

Running 60 FPS and the problem was rather sudden.
On the East servers (Us4 personally).

My lag went away after about a half hour.

9:50 experiencing no connection
10:05 Connection re-established and lag has returned

 

Remember there's somewhat of a world wide quarantine. More people are getting on to play, and it does produce quite a load on the servers. Nothing much can be done until everything calms down.

 

Interesting reply. I have had the same problem as coobo99 today, lag, then after logout unable to login. Then I switched to another account and guess what? no problem, no lag, could do a gate, all good. Went back to first account, still couldn't login to game to play. Went back to account two, all good again, until I guess I played too long. When the crazy lag started, I logged, then came to the forums and posted this message. So?

 

I'm use to normal server lag, but I have been experiencing this lag for 2 hours. I have been popping the same interceptor wave in Eternal for 45 minutes. This isn't from the increase of players.

 

lmao so this crappy server lag problem is do to the corona virus... OK... lol

 

Dont jump to 4x map it wont let you and when you close page you cant get back in

 

It's when you jump any port and it takes about 10 minutes to connect when it doesn't connect instantly.

 

i got stuck on eternal gate and died, came back but everything was frozen, logged out and logged in and now its been almost 5 hours and still can't log in in the gameplay map

 

It will happen. There will be huge spikes of lag because of what's going on.

It pretty much is. Hell, Europe is even forcing YouTube, Google, Netflix, etc., to throttle their services down due to increased usage and strain on their infrastructure

 

Then why is it just happening now instead of months ago.

yes its still laggy lost connection in event gate taking along time to jump ports in maps

 

I was experiencing it until some time after midnight when I decided to just get off.
I just got on and it seems to be gone.
