[GI] Hercules drones

I have noticed that there's been a big dispperity on some of the ships when the hercules drones
are added according to forums when you have all ten your drones equipped with the Hercules design you don't always get the prescribed added advantages of 15% shield bonus and 20% hp bonus. on several ships I've noticed Hp bonus is added but the Shield bonus is not added, the shield stay the same as if the Hercules design wasn't added (i.e. Keres, Solace, zephyr and others) , if anyone else has noticed this pls add your posts, and Mods don't ignore this post as you have my other post on the subject. Are you aware with the shield that the shields need to be equipped on the drones to get the % ?

+ 15% more shield energy for all shields generators equipped on the drones wearing one of those designs!

I did a test on my Solace


This is without the drone design on and 2 shields on 1 drone


And this one is with the drone design equipped and 2 shields on 1 drone

 

All my drones are equipped with Hercules on those ships i talked about there was no difference in change btwn Hercules or Havocs, as far as Shield difference. Just did another check btwn havocs and Hercules drone designs there was no difference in shield, with all 10 drones equipped, but the Hit points did changed. excuse my ignorance but I can't seem to add my screen shot to this post.

 

could this possibly be one of those visual buggs like a gg not properly loading on the map after you build it? in that case it might be fixed by relogging.

What Mod-Rogue is trying to tell you is that if you haven't any shield modules on your drones you won't see any difference in the amount of shields you have just cause you added the hercules design as it only gives an extra shield boost to the shields that are put on the drones.

 

shouldn't need shield modules if u read Drone Design FAQs in FAQS the Hercules Drone Design gives you the follwing bonuses for each drone that has it equipped and a overall bonus for all ten drones being equipped of 15% Shield bonus 20% HP bonus that is not happening on those ships i stated earlier. Now with the Spartans I get the full bonuses

 

I hear what you'e saying but , the shield bonus applies to shielded drones , not the ship. I have never had a problem with them .

 

looks like you do have an increase in shields. 562,959 <571,499

 

Can't expect a lot with only two shields

Yup, as Starlighthustle said:

The Hercules Drone Design boosts the shield generators equipped on your DRONES. Not for any equipped on your ship. The only outside advantage of having them equipped is the 20% HP bonus. But for the 15% shield bonus, they are only applied to the generators equipped on your drones.

Same method applies for the Havoc, Spartan, and Hermes drone designs. The damage boost you receive from them only apply to cannons equipped on your drones, not the ship.
