  1. I saw this post, and with the past few weeks issues i am concerned.

    Dear Space Pilots,

Due to recent changes, the security settings of browsers have been changed, which may cause a warning message such as “Not secure” to appear beside the address bar on the main game page, which will go away right after you log in to the game. We want to inform you and emphasize that the security measures on our sites have not changed and remain as reliable as before, meaning your personal and payment data are protected.

Our IT team is working to comply with the new security requirements of the latest browser versions and we expect a solution really soon. Meanwhile, please rest assured that we will take care of the safety of all players, and that your data is not at risk.

We wish you a great weekend and lots of fun in the game!

    Your Dark Orbit Community Team

If DO is unable to make a playable game how are we to be sure they can handle our private info and not screw it up as well? How do we know that they are able to handle this? Just a question. Food for thought!

  2. What was the date on that post? If memory servers this is year(s) old back when Chrome and Firefox gave those warnings for sites not using https

  3. i would have to find it again but my browser says it now.

  4. It's very old information. Because Darkorbit uses Flash, it doesn't have the secure version of http (which would be https). Still, making payments through it should still be as secure as any other site you use, like Amazon.

Keep in mind that there is a completely separate team that manages things such as payment, their performance is not affected by those coding the game.
