Bots and Cheats ...

Hmmm, Hammerclaw+ - Just the thing train users needed to further increase their invulnerability.

i can't belive they kill most strongest NPC' in game for 5-7 sec what does mean this stupid hammerclaw+
they own this game at any level

 

games a complete joke now, nearly everbody cheats.. and D O do sod all....
they just keep coming up with more and more crap for the botters.

 

I've given DO the chance, you can't play the client for a damn, and trains are absolutely destroying the game. Not to mention auto locks, anti-cloak, cloack/emp auto. So much crap. I can't even FIGHT the trains or cheats without the CLIENT OF THE GAME BY THE DEVS bot ringing me, but the dudes cheating like its nothing are just fine.

 

Nothing quite like shooting an enemy (bot or not) and getting a capture for acting "suspiciously". Seems whoever set up the capture process doesn't know how to code it to seperate Bot from Player.
And seriously, if someone is smart enough to code a Bot, wouldn't they be smart enough to build in a process to clear a captcha?
The only ones affected by captchas are legit players.

 

The ring is useless, all the bot programs know how to do it, its a god damn box to pick up, how hard do they thing that is, it affects real players over bots 100%. I've been ringing fighting people so damn often. The ring doesn't even make sense on timing, ive logged in after not being on for a few days, and got ring off rip.

 

Just wanted to say, I logged in for the first time in a year since I last logged to check and see if anything was done about bots/cheats. They are still rampant. 3 ships farming cubes with same exact flight pattern, attack pattern and targeting pattern. They all had the same exact name but with numbers at the end of their names. DO devs can do better. I know my bposting here does not matter to devs but it will alert other players who see this to not waste their time in a neglected rigged game resulted from dev incompetence.

I agree, when the number one clan on a server is called "TrainOrbit" it doesn't take a genius to see something is terribly wrong with the current state of the game and the owners seem to have just accepted that openly breaching the EULA, is acceptable if it keeps $ coming in

And then there's this;

Do those making decisions at DO not understand how the game is currently being abused?
Re-introding yet another game component that suits the Trains currently breaking just about every other aspect of game play.

I mean really, if Devs aren't interested in curtailing the advantages of using trains - What reason is there the for the rest of us to keep playing?

So you get to participate in less than half of the current content/events - I'm glad that is enough for you.

You're right no-one is "forcing" me to play and as long as DO don't try to "force" me to pay anything to play their broken game - I'll keep on and keep trying to get DO management to take action where action is needed.

The fact there are so many like you who just accept things the way they are - is by all accounts pretty sad.

It is completely obvious that nobody is forcing us to play, why do you even feel the need to say that. We are just voicing our concerns about the game which is what this forum was made for.
It was not made for telling people to stop playing the game if they dont like something so your answer is completely off topic and of zero value.

only the astral does not have a normal reward, only premium

Couldn't agree more. I've decided to take a break from the game and this is one of the reasons. (It's not the first, I've played this game on and off since 2013).

Don't get me wrong; for me who plays on the PvE server, the game has improved a lot. I have gotten further than I ever have before and I have a stronger ship than I've ever had - all because I've not been constantly popped by other players.

But, as other posters have already said across several threads, there is still an awful lot wrong with this game and bots/cheats is one of the biggest issues in my opinion. I'm not quitting forever, just taking a break for now. I will be back at some point and hopefully some things will have been addressed but I'm not holding my breath. I may pop into the forum to see how things are as well.

In the meantime, stay safe and try to have fun folks.

 

It's wild, people are just train botting ships to either
A: Sell for profit (Its working too)
B: Fight wars with Trains (Its working)

The biggest issue in DO right now is the trains. If we can just get that Unity Client they promised us over 2 years ago, we could reduce lag by a wide margin, and get rid of the vast majority of cheating. So much could be improved with that alone.

 

Just curious, how did you go doing Hitac, or are you friends with all of the top clans so had no problems?

You didn't miss much with SpaceBall - Trains came in, killed anyone doing it - then left - without doing it - rinse and repeat. Basically SpaceBall is a waste of time, like most open map content, if you aren't in the block of clans that ruin/run the server, you don't do it.

I know you do well in solo content but that for many isn't why we play.
I liked being part of a clan and interacting with others through wars, bases, etc but my clan is now dead. No-one logs in anymore because who wants to play a game where you're trying to fight 7 or 8 vs 1, especially when that 7 or 8 is 1 person.

For me the game isn't about just getting modules. Pretty much given up on that idea after hitac, 15 modules crafted and not one remotely useful or for a healing ship (as the description states) and only 2 for ships I actually own but don't fly as Cit+ and Goli+ just wreck.

A few days ago rank points for Basic Colonel went up by over 2 million overnight - Because 8 guys from my company, all with the same name and a number added on the end all botted a bunch of quests - I see him boasting in Discord about his bots running for 4 days straight to finish quests.

So, rank is broken, PVP is broken, events in open maps are broken, bases are broken - The social aspect of the game is Lost.

There really isn't much reason to keep playing when the owners of the game have so obviously given up on the game.

Wish I could experience that. The 2 nights there were no trains, I was asleep. Every other night, trains, trains, trains, auto locks, trains, trains, auto locks. It's ridiculous.
