    Many of our players have a keen interest in trying to find out information about new releases or potential updates before they are officially implemented into the game. Much of this information is obtained from the test servers, or from social media such as Facebook, etc. After numerous back and forth conversations with Support, we have received permission to open a thread on this topic.

    NOTE: Content and comments only please.
    Reference code will be permitted for now, unless we are informed otherwise.


    Any information posted regarding how to obtain or source information of this type will be immediately deleted, and the user will be penalised accordingly (we all know that some of you are talented at this sort of thing - you can educate others elsewhere...)
    Moderators may also be required to remove material posted at the request of Support.

    According to this brand new test server 2 update, the much-awaited Unity client open beta should release in July.
    I can't believe that after all those years they actually were working on it :eek:

  4. this used to be a poping thread, looks like last activity was 2023 at most, these bats of admins/support dont see their player base had fallen to less than 200 a server (real players).

  6. anything that is digital can be hacked, wouldn't count your eggs before they hatch
     
  7. I wouldnt count on that unfortunately, unity does not make a game bot/cheat free by no means

    10 years? they did test unity once but i don't know why they ditched it for flash3D, it was when you could play shards of war too because i had to download unity web player extension for browsers, during seafight unity thing too, didn't get to pick the achievement though

  9. that they did but they have promised that darkorbit in particular would have been in unity about 8-10 years ago. but yeah idk why the took so long and switched their approach.

    it is way harder to cheat in unity though, especially through a dedicated program. it requires code manipulation which not everyone has.

  10. Unfortunately they seem to be always 1 step ahead on what bigpoint does, since there is no longer admins flying in maps checking players its very hard to make a foolproof antibot

Except, you forget that Darkorbit is a point & click game. 99% of the Darkorbit Botting programs use image recognition to identify targets, and it's EXTREMELY easy to program & develop one yourself. This requires zero integration or manipulation within the game, just a screen large enough to get the view you need.
     
  12. that is true but most unity ( most good unity ) games do require you to download a 3rd party that could theoretically register if another 3rd party program or a macro is used. otherwise I fully agree, hell, you can make a macro to do everything for you if you really want to in almost select/click games xd

    That's not true at all, pixel bots are a thing of the past, nowadays bots directly send requests to the servers to do things, without having to click anywhere...

    By the way, the unity open beta thing was pushed to Prod servers this morning along with the sync, so it's still planned for July so far:

    Might be back helping here with posting "test server/code leaks" what not again to a degree, but no promises lol.


    *Unless stated otherwise, what I post is from "non-secured/protected" sources related to the test servers. (they just contain lots of "code text")
    Putting this here just to make this clear, since throughout my time posting here, noticed there has been times that's been misunderstood.
    (Though as see is said in first post of this thread, said sources like this can't be shown or explained how find here)

  17. what the? it used to run on sub ghz cpus, with less than 512mbs of ram, what happened?
    soydev bloat, can't optimize game just throw absurd requirements, I can play more advanced and beautiful games with less powerful pc
     
  18. There are plenty of the games that match, or exceed, the specs outlined. This is equivalent to the "Recommended Spec," not minimal. Something big must be happening...

    And also to keep in mind, they either had to translate, or completely remake the game. This game thus far has been running on extremely old code, made by devs/designers that have long since left BigPoint/DO. I'm not at all surprised that the recommended specs are what they are.
