If you have an issue relating to the chat and feel the forums is not going to provide you with the response you are desire. Please feel free to screen shot the chat issue and send a copy to support along with a copy the players name and the server where the issue happened.

At this point, from the above comments, I might recommend that if you have an issue with our volunteer staff, please feel free to apply to offer your time.

First off what is "a banter"? I think you mean "banter". I will be making a formal complaint, the basis will be that you people treat paying customers like crap and think you're funny and openly admit it in forums. I find it offensive that you have sent me a link to become a mod, what you are basically saying is the system in place is crappy so if you want it to change then apply to work for us for free - erm no thank you.

I take no crap but you people will not stop, closing legitamate threads and asking me to take screens and do the job for you, again no thanks. Dont you mods see how poor the service is? If your going to be a "volunteer" then volunteer and DO THE JOB YOU APPLIED FOR. Still tons of foreign crap in chat and no one is stopping them.

I think none of you have any passion for this game and are just coasting along and trolling PAYING CUSTOMERS that care about their server and dont want it to be overrun. Astrea, un follow me now, im not asking.

So far i have found a new game to play, these people actually talk to and listen to their customers - maybe you guys can try it one day instead of shutting down threads and openly mocking paying customers in forums. The bottom line is you refuse to admit the system is inadequate and act like children by deleting and moving threads around. Couldnt give a crap about this game anymore, and its not the players - its the staff i have dealt with so far - corrupt, dishonest and selfish.

Im done talking with people the likes of you, for the record if you were working for me id sack you on the spot. You people like to throw the "volunteer" word around alot, but i dont see it in chat, just players doing what they like - harrasment, bullying, being rude and using foreign language. Good job

Do what you will with this thread i know you will anyways, oh and thanks for the free LF-3 today for the last window BP, ill put it with all the other LF-3's i got on LF-4 days.

 

Astreae also gave me a chance to be a mod but why would DO take a nonpaying player as a mod sp I like you am not interested and I still have school. If you check the customer rating for bigpoint; its pretty negative. You are saying moderators are ignorant to be ignoring paying customers but you are implying free players are inferior to paying players and creating a hierarchy like that would just make DO even more money grab. I really hate DO chat like I made clear in the previous thread. The lf3s are good for newer players who you need to be aware also have their own point of view. I like how DO makes this game playable as a free player despite the stereotype that free players are bait for ufe farmers. In other games you have to befriend 15 strangers and have them all send you a free gift every day and it'd take like 1000 sends in order to get anything decent if you don't want to pay. With DO I can actually do gates and bks for uridium unlike other games where you basically cannot advance if you don't pay. Some games have certain maps and npcs closed to nonpaying players but DO doesn't have that issue thankfully. Although the premium should have some method I can get without spending money like a quest or buy it with 500k uridium. From what I see in forums, most of the angry complainers are paying players so just be a free player and you're all happy. Oh yeah DO makes money off you watching ads if you play free so they're aren't losing anything with you playing free.

I am sorry that you felt abused by my offer to volunteer your time to become a moderator. It was never meant to make you feel small or belittled. It was however to offer you the opportunity to see the other side of the coin. Yes I volunteer my time to work on the forums and strive very hard to treat each and every customer with the same respect whether they are free players or paying players. I see each player merely as an equal member of the Dark Orbit community. As for my following you, my system is set up to follow each new player that I respond to in the forums.

As for the Chat system, I do not moderator chat very often but what I can tell you is that we have a shortage of moderators who can volunteer their time. In the event that there are occasion whereas the chat system is UN-moderated by an actual moderator we do have the filter system in place. We are aware that there are situations that the filter does not catch. We do ask that if this type of situation occurs, players merely take a screenshot and report it to the Chat board or support. As of current we do not have a foreign language filter that will stop players from using a different language to speak in chat. I will tell you that many times Non-English players are banned for a short period of time as a reminder to take that type of chat to a private room. However we do not ban these players permanently as many of these players are paying players like your self. There is another feature that you may not be aware of... this is the Ban extension system. <<< Click here to read that thread.

As for this statement:

I can tell you that I have been a moderator for over 5 years, I know the members of the team very well and that statement is very unfounded. However if you have a specific complaint about any member of the team, it is best directed to support.

Ive changed my reply from the original one, because after thinking about it you are the only Mod to have the courage to come here and openly address my concerns and show clemency. After all this time some acknowledgement, and i cant let it go un-noticed because its all ive wanted, to be treated fairly and like a person, not a number.

Despite my deep disliking of most of the Mod staff i have the most respect for you Astrea, thank you.

I was half in favour of sending a complaint but i wont because in my eyes you listened to and addressed my points. I am a happy customer again, please feel free to close this thread. ........................

 

what about foreign language free players? DO they get perma bans cause they don't pay?

 

i don't think so, why would they do that anyway!?!
there are players from over 200 different countries playing this game and only 21 language supported by DO, so where rest can chat?
i am sure that there are people who don't speak any of those 21 languages that are offered here, so why is it wrong if they speak foreign language on chat?
