If it makes you feel any better (sure it won't though), it's not just you. After the initial crafting launch event the drop rate on the resources was reduced drastically to make it almost useless.

If you are new to the game I would recommend forgetting that the crafting even exists for now - it will take 100,000s of NPC kills before you collect enough resources for a couple decent items. Better off looking for a friendly clan who likes to do quests, the credit and uri you make with them will be far more helpful for progressing than crafting will in its current state.

  3. Too bad Okapi32 is not part of the Dev Team, as he states the Assembly System is no where what the Team made it out to be. It took needed resources/credits from the New players and created another item to be dropped instead of credit generating ores under the ruse of allowing "free" players a chance to earn/craft elite designs/ships and equipment, however, it was found (during launch) to only benefit a FE + player as they needed to be able to survive in the 4-5 map to be able to collect any amount of these items. Again at the cost of credits because the cargo was taken from you.

  4. IMO the decreased chances must be marked in the patch notices...it was a massive changing of the Assembling System. There wasn't an explanation, not even a bad one...

    The motto: "Just do it"

    In a bad way.

Unfortunately I see another example for ruining an good approach in a game.
