[SC] NO EVENT FOR EASTER ?!!

so bigpoint gave us a week premium and a -15% on payments which cant be used on a helix, instead of giving us a whole week of easter egg boxes, this does not even come close to compensate us for not having event boxes, we log in every easter to collect the event boxes and you have not put them on, i was a very active player until now.

 

DO are slowly moving away from BB's as part of there new vision of getting people playing rather than collecting and also this is a bid to combat botting. Many players look forward to event boxes myself included but it seems they will become a thing of the past.

 

really no more boxes because of botting i have put all my pp all 50 of them into boxing spent a fortune on pet protacols and box boubler hope this is a joke aries

 

At least you weren't like me who spent 1,49€ for 1 week of boxing doubler only to collect the event boxes for a day or two.

 

This really stinks.
Every Easter (and Mardi Gras, for that matter!) I log in to collect bonus boxes. You sell boxing doublers and then don't put out the bonus boxes!
The only reason I logged in today was to collect them, and, like on Mardi Gras, THERE ARE NO BONUS BOXES!!!
What a gyp.

 

It's unfortunate but it is no joke, having followed the twitch stream and looked at the surveys that the Dev team sent out DO seem to have made there minds up on boxing. For the balanced player who mixes both boxing with missions be it either PVE or PVP and those who have geared there PP's for collectingand with BB doublers this is disappointing with the game becoming more expensive by the day and the only way to balance the expense is to collect the way the game was originally developed for. Event boxes have become less frequent over the last 18 months and will eventually become a thing of the past for the honest hard working player this is a major blow and for any new players trying to add new blood to the game a total disaster. My own honest opinion is the Dev team and powers to be should make a U-Turn on this new policy and at least put event boxes on during Easter, Halloween, Xmas and during the Hitac events and move away from all this chance based junk we are being given and go back to simple basics. There is an old saying to many cooks spoil the broth and in this case DO have indeed spoiled the broth.

 

Well, bonus boxes is something I love the most and I didn't see it, I'm quite near of quitting the game already, I started spending uridiam uselessly when I stopped seeing % on shop items, got totally bored of pallading already and I just farm abit uri and try to make GG, and the new events all just sucks, not worth the time and effort to put into it, they said everyone will at least be able to craft one ship, and I can simply say UFEs might be having hard time crafting it, unless they bullied a lot while hitec event and got oil a lot.
and this new lf-4s unstable and 3 new ones, we have hard time getting a common lf-4, what should we do with this once.-_-

they were thinking of making the game better so they can attract the new players, but it seems like there works are making them runaway already, a newbie wont be able to last a hour in this game if not get helped, while players actually farms newbies more then players who actually can fight, and the time it takes to build up a good account in this era of DO, quite impossible if they keep this things up.
They even removed ubr rockets from those bonus boxes, that first step in moon once.

 

They didn't say they're going to add boxes. And they didn't do it. I hope they don't add them. Simply because for every honest player who wants to grind their way to UFE or collect uridium and consumables with hard work, there is 10 others who use those bot programs. And you bought the box doubler before the boxes were out? What if those boxes contained credit consumables and not even PET fuel, I bet people would still complain. It's cool that we have these wonderful events, and I hope the devs make these events even better. But the event bonus boxes; didn't work in the past (way too many players using bots to collect them). Now you really must work to get items during these events but it's made so that people can't just easily bot or afk their way up these prizes.

 

Not having Easter eggs, while disappointing and on course with the past year, is not surprising. The new team could not be in the know of all the things we used to get, although I don't doubt that OP32 has brought the hick-up up to them. Personally, while it may suck that they were not out, at the same time people can find something else to do in the game instead of announce every awesome, umm, egg that they open. You got a mega amount of rockets with your boxing bio/doubler/pet protocals, big whoop. For some it last maybe a week, you know the hardcore not letting anyone or anything pass by them. For others, the storage just grows and grows and grows thanks to the ammo cap removal.

Why anyone would think that the eggs not being here would make new players run away is beyond me. Since I recently started a new account, look for alt spelling of my name, I have found I can do a lot with NOOB power. There needs to be more encouragement for them and just because there are no eggs out there does not mean they can't grow. I lost count on how many players I have told to pick up every box they see. New players see different boxes and since they are not moving or shooting, they fly right by.

Right now the team is really focused on trying to fix a few, and hopefully a lot of things that has been wrong with this game and with that I am talking bugs. This event has been a good start as new players can get some good stuff as rewards. I apologize for those of us veteran players that have a lot already but I appreciate anything I get and try to find time to get more. Since I don't have the boxing bio/doubler/pet protocals that people above are complaining they paid money for, I work hard just playing as a mix of Pet Boxing and me doing PVE. I personally find boxing and pally equally as boring so if doing just one or the other, the game drops straight to suck. And with all of the issues with the pet now, it kind of sucks anyways as my ship has to work twice as hard, but anyways.

They are doing a lot to attract players, and the pay aspect is one of it. They Helix and MHH it to the max, and it seems all the goodies but the BAT formation is given out for sale in the shop. Now players that just start can see veteran players in their nice fancy ships and maybe get that stuff themselves with a little planning. Let them hash out, hungry now, the basic game issues this year and maybe at the end and next year all the special boxes will come back.

 

All this removal of boxing seems like a lame attempt to make us go to the maps.If they want to make us go to the maps why don't they tenfold the amount of uridium earned per alien kill?To me it seems like they want to make us go to the maps to give UFE bullies a target to shoot at,that way the people will pay at Helix hours to buy ammo which is €€€€.

For this to happen they must:
1)make the players feel like that they progress as every hour they spend to the game goes by
2)and something challenging.
1)That means:removal of chance rewards(so they will know that their grind is not infinite),and increasing the alien uridium rewards by at least 10x.
2)Something that will make the player feel challenged because trying to kill the npc while it's running away is not mentally challenging neither is how you play PvP.It is always the same thing over and over again.

 

Pvp is actually pretty challenging, even if u have UFE ship, depending on ur knowledge of the game, u can destroy another equally geared UFE or get destroyed by them(if they are better than you)

 

well im going to miss getting free galaxy gate spins, pet fuel, slow down mines, sar o2s, this game will be even more expensive now

 

I also was upset that we did not get the Easter egg bonus boxes. I want the holiday bonus boxes to continue, I felt that this plague event was a slap in the face on an Easter Holy day week!

 

darkorbit said thay are working on server merg as number 1 from this time on now ..maybe thay should put a good event back on that people liked or new players mite not have seen ..it would be great if thay put the Halloween event on and just renaming it sumer of hell I would love to see this event again and keep people playing an filling the maps ,as thay carry on making the changes to the game thay need to do an also free up dev time ,,or maybe even drop the new hitac event back on now that would also be great

 

Big time let down, I agree.

 

In general, this special boxes are just an advantage for botters. We will have a 'filler' event soon, nothing new but something to 'get you out of boredom'.
