It's me, I know it!! This game ain't for noobs. I feel like I'm Rick from the walking dead 2 many aliens and that ain't even enough to say I did something. Listen guys & gals... Im on YouTube watching these videos darkorbit stuff. I have time to chill and try something new so I register on to play, I don't make any money from playing on here or spend 6000 hours on free mode lol 330k For 99$ is overprice since your currency is free!!

Maybe I'm wrong but to me that's pay to win what do you think?

  2. This game has been pay to win for many many years now my friend.

Leave while you can, there isn't a way around paying for the stuff you need.

I've been here since the early days of when Darkorbit first opened and its nothing like that anymore.

Just get to a beginner friendly clan, eventually with little bit help you can make decent ship without investing :)

  6. Been here since 2007, game is definitely pay to win. However, that doesn't mean you need to spend a lot. The only thing I ever got was annual premium which I think is worth it if you plan to stick it out. Once in a great while I bought URI. Two things you need to do:
    1. find an active clan that's newbie friendly, as apetown recommended.
    2. work hard - do missions, events, gates (as you get stronger), learn (including from your mistakes)

As a new player, you die a lot. Big deal. We all do early on. Don't let it bug you. Learn from it. Make friends. Play for fun, don't expect to be a top 100 player in a week. It takes time. As you play, you get game smart (situational awareness) and you'll know how to stay out of trouble. Major events aliens like Hitac and Demaner, some clans hog the events so worry more about the event missions than the big alien. Make friends, chill. The game is enjoyable as long as you understand the downsides. Good luck and fly safe.

  7. Hi The Kid AG,

    RUN FOREST RUN!

I started to play a while ago. It started out fun and it is still, in a way, but don't get started. Once you said, "well I need is a few upgrades and I will be better at this game," and they are having a mega sale on Uridium. Uridium is the money system here, beside real money. Now I can upgrade some items or buy more ammo. You get a few things then you move up into the world. Now you become a target because the safe time as a newbie is over. There are hunter packs out there call MCC . MCC is made up of all different people, clans, and company. They could be your own company in the group. Then next thing you know they are killing you. So you think, "I need more upgrades to better myself," and you spend more on the game. It never stops the circle goes round and round. There are people who buy a off site program to play the game for them. This is a BIG NO, NO, but Dark Orbit "DO" turns a blind eye to them. Most of them are wallet warriors and spend big money here.

Sometimes I wish I never started. Don't get me wrong there are good guys here too. This game is a black hole. Once it has you, you break down and spend more and then more. I don't have the more to spend, and I die when meeting other players who hunt lower levels.

Good Luck, but have your eyes open. Read and research about MCC's and Bots too. They have a search window so look up your questions before you venture out and spend money!

Haven't spent a lot on this game and yet my noobie account is in pretty good state. I don't even play anymore that active, but all I have done is like 2 weeks of double boxes on December + 1 month premium and few rebates to roll on Zeta's. I haven't bought any Uridium, I don't need to buy it, I get it with "hard" work, which is not even that hard when you know where you're saving and how you play this game. :)
