Yes Big Point runs the game and rules. Yes you can change the game anyway you want. It is your right, But I have a question.

Who is this game for? The Board or The People/Players?

Is it for the people who come here and want to enjoy a game (in my belief this was a very good game) and mark it as a keeper. The forum is getting filled with posts that are negative. Problems after problems. It seem Big Point doesn't care. I hope it isn't true.

I know it is about the money, but money isn't everything. Your patrons are your main concern if not it should be. This is a big blow in how I run my ships, and it seems I wasn't alone either. Pulling out the big guns is your right, but in doing that you are killing the little guy.

We want your help, we need your help but I feel we are getting a foot to our neck.

im afraid what the players want is no longer an issue, DO is run by a set of muppets that just cater for the cheats.
i for one will never ever pay for a game that is as poorly run as this one.
it used to be a decent game but now has fallen a long way down the pit, and the only motivation DO seem to have is to make money.

 

They (read as who ever it applies to) run and hide behind the terms of service (which is updated periodically to cover off more items in perpetuity) so they do not have to specify that whatever change is done was in fact only to try and squeeze more money out of players in general, for something that in reality probably did not need any maintenance attention at all.
Will things change for the better? Well, change is inevitable, but what will probably happen is that this entry or even the entire thread will get locked as others and maybe even deleted entirely so that someone can sleep better (not)knowing there was any issue at all.

I have not flown in game for quite awhile do to the current "game environment" which really sucks!
I was logging in everyday to at least load sep and get "some benefit" of actually logging in
Key word WAS.
I will continue to check on forum to watch the slow death of this GREED based game, ONCE GREAT GAME

simple answer really to game >x7,x3 x4 x8 x5 get rid of the ruddy botters your scripts are rubbish they catch no one untill u act on this no one gives a stuff about events or other stuff ,as for gaining proof case of looking tis clear as mud ...uno this and as far as most think now u sell them hence more think its ok .drop the cost might help but other than all the crap we hear about game tis known as a cheats game nout is fair so to be honest is no point to play or spend sadly ....think before replying

 

The game is for the players, BUT they are required to follow their rules if you wish to play and/or use their services. Plus, if you wish to keep it open as a discussion, you have to use the Speaker's Corner, not the Technical Sections of the forums.

Thank you everybody. I enjoy your feed back. I don't know how long this will last, but at least some people had view this and some have respond. I hope this post will open DO eye up a little. DO the game is suffering, and your fixes aren't helping the game. Stop please. Don't create new problems just fix the old ones. If you don't know the problems in the game just read the forum.

I have been playing since 08 and i rise to the top and fall and from the very first day i started i see Auto lockers and botters and i also see ppl saying the game is dying ..Blah Blah Blah.
It is evidient that nothing will be done about the rampant botting like absolutely nothing. The last official word i hear is that each the the bots go to port the scripts reset so to any one that reads this do any or all of the following
1) dont shoot a bot
2) dont go into enemy maps that are know botting zone
Those 2 things alone will keep the bots on the game page away from the ports and the fantastics scritps that DO have wont reset.

 

Every map with killable npcs and bonus boxes in them are known botting zones lol.
