while building an alfa gate, is it normal when clicking a double role to get two gate parts for beta or gamma instead of the alfa parts i'm rolling for? tks

 

yes because alpha/beta and gamma are getting parts together, not like the other gates. So while you're building alpha, you gonna get beta and gamma parts till you don't build 'em.

One of the things I do when building ABY is I'll build it to max parts but not place it on the map. For example if I want to repeat beta over and over, I'll build alpha to 34/34 and gamma to 82/82 but I'll place beta on the map.

However, yeah, to answer your question, you'll receive parts for all 3 gates as they are grouped together. Whereas if you spun for delta, or kappa, you get parts [only] for those gates as they are by themselves.

No! Place them on the map!

You will still get parts for those gates; you would be effectively waste those spins. The multiplier can land on more beta parts, but they'll be changed to ammo
