    Nice and simple:

    There's 3 types of Railguns:
    • Thermal / Helios / Red colour
    • Corrosive / Nidhogg / Purple colour
    • Electro / Indra / Blue colour (unreleased at this time)

    A Railgun hits every 4* secs (buy the CPU from shop to make it hit automatically). Think of it like Prom lasers' burst (every 4 secs for a big hit while prom burst is once every 5 hits).
    You have 3 slots to equip them on your ship. One of each. Whatever ammo you select will use the associated Railgun. The others are on standby until you swap ammo.

    The ship-exclusive Railguns listed earlier are the strongest ones.

    UL-HeliosThermal16571
    UL-NidhoggCorrosive32406
    These are the base damage values we're given^ but that's 100% damage. We're told that Railguns have a damage range of 75-100%, so it'll be more like:
    Thermal = 12,428–16,571
    Corrosive = 24,304–32,406
    Indra = UNKNOWN

    Ship-exclusives can be equipped on any ship. If you equip them on the ship they're made for though, you get some unknown extra damage.

    Now, it looks like Corrosive is waaay better than Thermal from those numbers alone. But that might not be the case because each type has a special bonus:

    • Thermal hits do splash damage in a radius of 275 for 40% of the original damage. So Thermal is great for clearing up clusters of aliens. The more aliens in the area, the more mileage you get from using Thermal (up to 5 aliens. It won't hit more than 5 per shot).

    • Corrosive hits harder and makes you do more damage with Corrosive shots the longer you fight. It makes the target take 5% more Corrosive damage per hit, up to 5 times (effectively +25% bonus Corrosive damage if you're shooting for at least 20 seconds. see below*). Basically a great Railgun for bulky, single targets.

    • Indra's effect is UNKNOWN.

    Those damage values above are for x1 ammo. You can buy x2 and x3 from the shop. I dunno about x4.
    You can also get custom modifiers on your Railguns that can massively affect the damage output. So the damage you'll be able to pull off should be considerably higher than expected.

    Leaks

    Next Empyrian March has Empyrian Spectrum Plus listed as a reward.

    There's a new type of booty box that's Christmas themed. Possibly releasing soon.

    ---

    Edit: minor correction. Railguns hit every 4 seconds. So Corrosive' more like this:
    1st hit = 1s
    2nd hit = 5s
    3rd hit = 9s
    4th hit = 13s
    5th hit = 17s (once this hits, the next shot onwards does max extra damage)
    6th hit = 21s
    ...and so on.

    Amor and Psyche designs for February are for Orcus, apparently. I'm not sure about what ship will get bundled in the battlepass. May or may not be Orcus.
