About Dimisher

How does the ability of Dimisher affect the sab damage?
If I normally hit 30k with sab, the enemy will lose 45k shield if I activate my ability, right?
But do I myself get 45k shield back while sabbing or just the normal 30k when the ability is active?

 

I personally have never really used this ability but I believe you do more damage to the shields of the other player, so I would assume that you would receive that damage via sabs to your shields.

 

You will get the 45 K ...BUT there is a HUGE hole with this...ready...?.....


AFTER the ability stops...you LOSE ALL the extra shield you got thru the ability...so if you shot 6 rounds of sab....when the ability shuts off you drop 6 X 15 k = 90k shields gone..

Hopefully your ability stops because you popped the enemy

I know this because I use diminisher on cubes , and began seeing my shields drop off a cliff when the ability finished...SO I switched to X2 or X3 while the dimi was on to get the damage bonus, and my shields stayed the same from that, no drops after it stopped .

It is one of the coolest looking designs , and as long as you just go for damage with it , X4, rsb, X3...the ability works great, and cannot be countered by an emp.....it is a cool design imo, just one weird quirk with the sab effect on shields. If your saving for a design in new trade, I suggest Diminisher or Sentinel too, that has an all around great ability, but it all depends what your gaming style is.
