Ads Everywhere

Just logged in game and have been bombarded with major ads from Ebay and when I close them or even use my ad block it creates a blank space without resetting the full screen size. This is annoying because other web pages don't do this and I have had this problem with Darkorbit in the past.

 

More persistent ads now? Hopefully they do not become long again. Anything over 5 minutes is too much.

 

Well im sure there going to throw the hammer at me but ill help ya out. D/L Add Block Plus if using chrome you can find it in the ext store or just google it. Should have a lil stop sign with ABP in the center. No adds 4 me and have used it for over 2 years.

 

lol i bet he download some bar with something he was downloading recently, darkorbit have no adds.
check your browser and uninstall anything that's not original browser stuff.

 

Sounds like you have a malware infection on your computer. Look for malwarebytes antimalware free version and run a full scan.

 

DO doesn't have ads. You have adware in your computer installed that is bombarding you with ads. I would suggest to use antivirus next time.

As a side note: Adware is sometimes hard to clean up, so you may need to format your PC.

 

Adware go back to a restore pt. where your browser wasn't hijacked because they are hard to get rid of

 

Stop vistiting "dodgy" ( ) to download "dodgy" files in the future!

I would think that the problem sounds as if you visited a site that downloaded something to your system. I would recommend a possible system restore back to a date that you were sure you didn't have this issue. Hopefully that will remove what ever malware might have possibly been added.

Marketing needs to look and the daily ad's again. I have gotten one that is an hour and 17 minutes for some admin software on 4 servers. Getting old...

 

And to the rest who think Do dont have adds. I beg to differ. They do have adds, Not pop up adds but forced adds by Addchoice or something like that. These adds can be turned off by clicking the do not show me anymore when you log in. Hint why most of you do not see them. But i do agree the OP has a issue that extends past Dark Orbit. AdWare and Malware are not at all hard to remove doing a system restore is not the answer this just hides the problem.

1 Get yourself: Spybot SD
run and enjoy.
2 Get yourself Ccleaner run it and then click registry and clean the old reg files.
3 Check all you extensions make sure you do not have any unwanted ext. If so remove them.
4 Get Add Block Plus and use it!

 

Thank you for assisting this player with their issue, I have to say that the system restore that I recommend is all I can do, as I can't truly promote a product on the forums. They frown on me doing that... however you on the other hand is another matter.
