Advanced Credit Ships

  1. While I know that even if this thread gains a lot of support, BP will most likely not input this idea, I'm going to say it anyways.

    The idea that I will suggest here is to have advancable credit ships. By this I mean that for every credit ship, you get certain upgrades (Like an extra laser, an extra generator, +10 speed etc.). It wouldn't be available for uridium-bought ships. There would be one level of upgrading for each credit-based ship. This would give newbies with perhaps a little saved uridium a chance to give FE's a bit of a harder punch or might just help with farming. Each advanced ship will have slight aesthetic differences to their unadvanced counterparts, with the advanced ships maybe having bigger engines, a slightly different colour or one more visible laser. To get your ship advanced, you would need to buy a ship advancement chip extra (7,500-15,000 uridium cost, also available in bidding) and then use it for whatever ship you choose. The chip would be a disposable extra and cannot be reused or removed.

    For example, the Nostromo may recieve:
    18,000+ HP
    1 Extra Laser Slot
    1 Extra Generator Slot
    150 Extra cargo
    4,000 Extra batteries
    200 Extra rockets


    The BigBoy may recieve:

    20,000+ HP
    1 Extra Laser Slot
    +10 Speed
    4,000 Extra batteries
    200 Extra rockets
    200 Extra cargo


    Even our trusty old friend the Phoenix may recieve:
    4,000+ HP
    2 Extra Laser slots
    2 Extra Generator slots
    +20 speed
    2,000 Extra batteries
    120 Extra rockets
    120 Extra cargo

  2. i like the sound of this as it will benefit newer users also what are the costs or have i misread somewhere ?

    7.5k uri-15k uri is a bit too much for noobies. How about 5k-10k?

    and this will make no difference whatsoever because not even adding 100k life to this would help much... what they need is more speed and i dont think they would do that...
     
  5. Yeah 15k is the newbie starting amount after they finish tutorial stage...
    dont think we care muc about the pill...

    But the bb would get 230k hp with bio using this idea so same hp as vengi, 1 less laser and 5 more shields....
     
  6. These aren't 100% quick fixes, making the credit ships equal to the uridium ships. This is just to give newbies a chance to have a relatively powerful but also cheap ship that they can use when they farm etc. In the case of the BigBoy, as stated by BMλŋ916-ƒliesUSƒlaǧ and by myself, it would equal the Vengeance's health, making it a great tanking vehicle for those without a Goliath, Citadel or Aegis.

    with an exception for the increase in ammo, this would result in a redundant system, everything is achievable through pilot bio, HP, additional damage, increased shields increased cargo,
     
  11. That's true, but can free to play players or newbies afford the pilot bio without spending money or farming for months or even perhaps a year?
