Alien Encyclopedia

It's sort of annoying when you try to target an alien that is a right match or your ship but you don't know the stats. I was thinking to have an encyclopedia for each person with the aliens and stats they have, in strength or alphabetical order. This would be accessible thru the pilot page. One catch. You must engage in combat and deal significant damage (<10% hp remaining) to the alien or destroy it or get destroyed to add it to your encyclopedia. It's probably clearer below:

1. You engage in combat with, for say, a Devolorium.

2a. You destroy it. Move onto step 3a.

2b. It destroys you but you deal 90.000 + damage to hp. Move onto step 3a.

2c. You run away but you deal 90.000 + damage to hp before you run. Move onto step 3a.

2d. It destroys you but you deal less than 90.000 damage to hp . Move onto step 3b.

2e.You run away but you deal less than 90.000 damage to hp before you run. Move onto step 3b.

3a. The stats including the hp, health and damage range are put into your encyclopedia under "Devolorium."

3b. Nothing happens.

The major issue I have is the fact that in groups you can see others target hp etc but can't see your own targets.
I wouldn't mind if they added this. Sounds cool.

 

Everything can be found with a quick search on google though, but sure why not. Maybe this "encyclopedia" could be more like a list of enemy races, maybe with a short description of their backround etc.

 

I kind of like this if there is also images, and maybe in future there could be video clips also, that has something to do with story.

For example: Videos open, when you proceed in game and face new aliens. Kind of like "poké dex" (From pokémon) , but more advanced. ​

Still had the DO wikia and most things about DO can be googled

 

It would be nice with a Trophy wall with all sorts of aliens you destroyed (can be a bonus to ''achievements'') and when you klick on the trophy you will see:

The number of all kills on this Alien

Reward for 1 kill of this alien sort (credits, xp, honor, uridium, rank points)

Total reward for this alien sort (the number of kills x the reward)

Alien stats (hp,shield,speed,damage, aggressive / non aggressive)

Where you found this alien, example: lordakium 1-5, 2-5, 3-5 (if you kill lordakium on 1-5 then the game will tell you 1-5, if you kill it on 1-5 and 2-5 then the game will tell you 1-5, 2-5.

Once again All of that Information can be simply googled. Its un necessary code writing for the devs, and you can se how many kills of an NPC you have on your rank page

 

There are better things the devs could do rather than helping lazy people find out how much hp an alien has because they can't google it. Here's the Official Darkorbit Reloaded Wiki and here's the more complete Darkorbit Wiki but an unofficial version. Read them if you feel you don't have enough info's on something.

 

Use a search engine...if the keywords do not show what you are looking...then ask - you obviously did not search first unless you used the wrong keywords. I guess ' Encyclopedia ' was hardly used.
