  1. Before anything I want to say I have one of the best graphics card of this year. I Run bf4 ultra at 80-150 fps, titanfall, hawken, farcry, etc.

Now is there anyways to maintain 60fps in any situation in this game?
This game does not have high requirements i know is the game platform and everything, but there should be a way to maintain at least 50 fps at all times.
anyone has any suggestion let me know please i have tried many ways, throw them at me no matter what it is.

yes i have updated all the components for the browser to run faster and everything , so no flash no java problems with me.

  2. Perhaps the internet connection??

  3. I run 61 fps 98% of the time in normal maps (with exceptions to Crazy Cubes, Space Ball & other events that have high user activity concentrated in one map).

    My specs:

    Intel(R) Core (TM) i5 CPU 3.33 GHz
    8.00 GB Ram
    64-bit Operating System
    50Mbs Internet Connection

    Hope this helps you
I know Alienware CPU's are great with Dark Orbit as well if you can afford the price

  5. Anything to do with fps is your hardware. Usually having a good GPU and having the latest drivers and Good supply of RAM.

I have a geforce 780 and 16 gb of RAM and I never drop below 60 fps.

Of The 16 gb, I never use more than 12% of that.

Unfortunately for you, the graphics card has almost no effect on the performance of DO. Darkorbit uses the flash player which mostly uses the CPU, not the GPU.
Even the cheapest graphics cards available today (and even the IGPs in Intel CPUs) have enough 2D performance for 60 fps during Crazy Cubicon events. It is the CPU that limits the performance.

So the better your CPU, the more fps in critical situations.
Next thing to know is that parallel processing is not the strong point of any flash player. So you wont have much benefit from a CPU with many (weak) cores sold by AMD. It is more beneficial to have a CPU with less cores but a better performance per core, typically Intel Core-I5, Core-I7 and Xeon-E3 CPUs.

But I doubt that there is any hardware available today that can maintain 50+ fps in all situations.

  7. Ok so what i have is this:
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 GAMING
    CPU: i5-4690k 3.5-3.9Ghz
    RAM: 8gb
    windows 8.1 pro 64bits
idk whats going on but that cpu is one of the best if DO requires more than that then they are really really idiots if they say that....

  8. in mean in DO?
cuz my graphics and cpu maintain around 80-150 in BF4 on ultra

  9. What do you get here? Because I think there is a fps cap.

Yes I am talking about Darkorbit.
"Normal" games like BF4 are better optimised for performance and not limited by the flash player.
That is why you can run the latest games in ultra mode with acceptable fps and still have a slideshow trying to run Darkorbit with minimal display settings. There are still a few things you can try to improve the performace in DO.

    Try different browsers
After switching from an AMD FX CPU to Intels Xeon E3-1230v3 I had severe performance issues with Firefox. Other browsers like e.g. Chrome are much better in my case. It is really worth testing a few different browsers.

Use minimal Display settings in DO
I assume you already do that anyway

In addition to that, you can also deactivate EIST/SpeedStep and Hyperthreading (if available, I5-CPUs dont have HT anyway).
But as I already stated, none of the hardware available today is fast enough to maintain acceptable fps in Darkorbit all the time.

  11. I dont get what you mean
and i will try that i get 60 fps when theres not many ships around me but in a cube they go down to 25-30
i know is darkorbit is just impossible for my graphics, and its also the platform of the game, it doesnt have a good platform like other games.
