Auction Page Lag

So i kept refreshing cause i knew some scrub would try to outbid me with so many seconds left on a bid. Of course it happened at 30 secs, but thing is, it froze when i refreshed. Only time it froze up until the bids were over. If you guys are going to make a garbage update to the game. At least make it work properly instead of peeling your bananas and smashing buttons all day waiting for something to come out of it all.

 

At least you are able to have the new auction page open without it messing with the space map. A problem that seems to have transferred to the rank listing page for scoremageddon that I noticed yesterday. Game isn't playable when that page is open

 

Scoremageddon page is straight up bugged, but yeah, i get lag that way as well. But the fact it freezes like that, they need to work more, instead of tossing crap in.

 

I am sorry that you experienced lag in the auction however this is an area that a lot of people are utilizing. Many players experience a lag when refreshing multiple times as their browser is storing a large amount of data.

I know that you are frustrated, but please understand this is a work in progress.

There also seems to be discrepancy between when the auction ends and when the timer says it actually ends. I've placed bids with 2 seconds left on the timer. I mean the "bid submitted" message has shown with 2 seconds remaining but that bid has gone onto the next auction instead.

At least the weekly auction seems to be fixed now but could someone look at the coding for this and see if there's something wrong elsewhere?

 

I hate the fact i place a bid with 10 secs left, but it takes so long for it to load, the bid goes in for the next hour. Figured that would of been fixed with the new auction.

 

We are currently looking in to the auction issues.

I would not recommend bidding within the last 5 -10 seconds as the lag between your computer and the amount of time it takes for the page to refresh and actually accept your bid may be more that that 5 seconds. This is not something that we have control over and we do not no know fast your processor is.

Just to confirm, I received the "Successful Bid" message and the timer was still showing 2 seconds remaining yet the bid went onto the next auction.

 

I realize what you are saying, however this is a community auction where as anyone who bids is doing so of their own choice. Choosing to wait to bid in the last 5-10 seconds is also a choice, and if the lag causes it to roll over into the next auction, this is a chance that you take bidding that close to the end of the auction.

I was just trying to point out that it wasn't lag that was causing it to roll over to the next auction. The bid was accepted with 2 seconds showing on the timer so there seems to be an issue with when the action auction finishes. It doesn't appear to finish when the timer reaches 0; it seems to finish prior to that.
