auto-looter level 3 useless

Hello chaps!

I bought level 3 auto-looter some days ago - and I'm terribly disappointed!
It doesn't really work well:
It collects the boxes I fly straight past, but that's all basically. It's range seems too low (spending a staggering amount of 300.000 Uridium on radar-protocols would help, but it's out of the range of normal player - who isn't a customer).
And worst of all, it doesn't do anything at all while I'm stationary - I have to move all the time!
I hope this will be changed, for it is now, it's just a waste of Uridium - and seems to be another big step to ruin Dark Orbit for anybody who doesn't spend a lot of real money on this game!

I think your main frustration is the part about it not moving while you are stationary. That's really one of the latest tweaks from DO. A lot of players would just sit in pally all day and let the pets collect, while they are working, at work, or at school. Since the pally mist used to cause some damage, it always seemed like they were doing something but now that it doesn't, the pets respond in kind and will just come back to you if you are just sitting there doing nothing. It is an action based game, move around and keep busy; its way too easy to get bored if you are not in flight. Make some uri and get some radars. You may start small and just get some level 1 radars at the start, just what every your uri pot can afford. Go do some uri farming and your pet will be roaming the vast regions of space in no time.

Thank you PSKSUNDANCE for assisting with this thread.

The P.E.T which reaches first for the bonus boxes will eventually picks that up. Also your P.E.T will not pick up the bonus boxes every time if it reaches to it after someone's P.E.T already collected it. Radar protocol (level 3) is quite effective, more radar protocols better it gets for locating. I would say at least 4 radar protocols is needed for better range in locating bonus boxes along with Auto looter (level 3).
You have to move a little or else P.E.T will be stationed as it follows your ship.
