Back to just the forums then...

So after a week long back and forth with support about my email being changed then my account password, without me even knowing or authorizing, just today they replied last time saying they can't help me because I don't know what the current email address of my account is. Because it makes so much sense that when my email is changed to another without my knowledge that I would know the address it was changed to. I provided the registration email. Why is that not enough? I'll have wasted $200 because support doesn't want to lift a finger to help the players left in the game? And you wonder why people are leaving....

I even have video proof, and pictures I took on my account of when I first made that account. And provided them... But nope.

It would be awesome if a mod could provide insight on this. It doesn't make sense that I need to provide current email when it's been changed, shouldn't video picture proof and original email registration be enough? :/

 

There should be a email from DO to your email address confirming which email it has been changed to, the issue the person who has taken your account probably did it from your email so then deleted the email that was sent by DO. It's worth checking the bin of your email to see if whoever did it forget to delete it from there as well.

Besides that small chance there's nothing much that will happen. DarkOrbit and probably all BigPoint games in general have easy one of the worst support policies I have ever seen, their go to answer is normally to tell you that you need to talk to the police about it just so it can stop being an issue for them 99% of the time.

I know it's not an answer from a mod but to be honest, mods and support are the same thing nowadays so you would get the same answer from them as it's what they have been told to say.

Couple of the images don't work but looks like whoever did used a secondary email to transfer the account over and then from that secondary email they put it on their own normal one.
I did a google search of the name and the links that shown up were ones to someone selling accounts, so looks like they have done it many times before.

I can't think of anything else to suggest

 

This was done trough bug that existed in pilot profile where your account could be stolen without access to your email

If he used "normal" means to steal your acc and email was delivered to you and deleted you can still recover old emails or even request your entire email history to be restored ...at least wit old hotmail/outlook

to restore them just google " how to restore deleted emails"

I'll agree with one thing okapi said ..BP support are next to useless when it comes to account theft

 

hmm if you spent money that is easily traceable might try that even if just gift card you give amount of transaction and date most games use this to verify emails can be compromised easily

its not that I have all the info on my email - my account creation, the unauthorized transfer of emails and the email it went to, and even my around $200 I spent on that account :/ was the only account I spent that much money on, and it's not happening again, not after "support" like this. I have everything I feel is needed to get my account back but support doesn't want to hear it it seems

 

Happened to me but 6 times and once account got deleted.

If you want to look stupid goto the police but you have no leg to stand on because legally you don't own the account so they wouldn't do nothing.

Even with all the relevant evidence you have that's all you can do is hope and prey BP can get it back for you , its in their hands sadly to say.

Last option is get someone to steal the account back if you that desperate.

 

I don't know how to steal it back, I'm not the hacker here. As for support I just got their final message, since it's as user problem and not a game problem they're not gonna lift a single finger.

EDIT: I wanted to see what response I would get from a mod as to why when I have the registration, payment, original usernames and passwords I'm being basically accused as a hacker, and now I get this? Really?

I guess that now makes this an I quit thread... But forcefully so... Lol. Honestly I wasn't expecting anything to happen. I first started dark orbit in 2009 or so, and being a stupid kid, I spent money on it and became FE. Then life got... Complicated. Mid-2011, came back to it to find something stress-relieving, realized I had seen DO before, realized I spent money... Checked email, saw user and pass, tried to log in.. Turned out it had been killed off. Made a new one, was still a noob. On east 3 I was hunting bk's in a defcom, as FireJub2000Destroyer, using like 700k worth of eco's to kill each BK (yeah I know not cost efficient but back then killing a BK was biiiiiiiig for me.) then Alchemy from ASC (Ascension) asked if I wanted to join and I was like ehhh, ok. From there, alchemy and anarchy helped me with bk's until I had enough creds for a goli, and bid 30 mil on it lol. Won, the. Lost 20 mil on a bk... After that, ASC kinda dissolved after Alchemy left. I don't really remember what clan I joined after that. Oh yeah, BURN, with Battlestar Pegasus ( which I changed my name to after he disappeared randomly :/) and at that point I started posting on forums. I ended up having around 600 posts before that one got hacked. If any of you a remember the awesome sig made for me by parasite http://s286.photobucket.com/user/parasite_12000/media/jub_zps9318ae82.jpg.html .from there I kinda bounced clans, and met Easybake and a few others, there I also met GUARDIAN-X, whom to this day is still on east 3 along with schiz and riot and sixx and lady wolf . Over that period I made 4 accounts I think? All got to more than fe, some even got Apis and Zeus but all for hacked in the end. My friends kept trying to help me but eventually talked me into going to a different server due to so many account... Irregularities. I went to east 2, where it was ok but nobody really wanted to help out or even talk there so I migrated to east 1 where my current account has also now been hacked. I probably should have learned my lesson a long time ago, but eh, was as stupid kid in the beginning, guess I still am. Lol.
