Backpage issues [past

Hello everyone,

Currently there's a number of you who cannot fully navigate the backpage or load the game client as a black screen appears rather than the game elements.
There also seems to be a few of you who can't log in at all as a part of this

If you have not already, please do try to clear your flash cache to see if that might help:

If still experiencing these issues, we have been asked for traceroutes to try and help locate and resolve the issue. You can provide these to us here in this thread, or to support if you would rather do so that way (we can also edit your post to remove the information once it has been passed on if you wish, just let us know!)


If you are unsure how to do a traceroute:
1. Open Windows Menu (bottom left corner)
->Type cmd.exe and click enter
-->For Windows 8.1 you are looking for the "Command Prompt"
---> Windows 10 users, I'm afraid I can't advise if it is different for you. Hopefully there's someone around here with Win10 who has it who could advise if needed

2. Type any of the following into the command prompt. I have provided a few servers so you can select the one most relevant to the one you might normally play:
GB1:
tracert darkorbit-46-game-01-pub-01.bigpoint.net
GE1:
tracert darkorbit-22-game-01-pub-01.bigpoint.net
US East 1:
tracert darkorbit-22-game-01-pub-01.bigpoint.net
GA1:
tracert darkorbit-69-game-01-pub-01.bigpoint.net
US West:
tracert darkorbit-145-game-01-pub-01.bigpoint.net

Once you have entered any of those into the command prompt, hit enter.

When finished, you can take a screenshot (PrintSc) similar to how you might do screenshots of chat or game, or you can right click to select all and then press enter to copy the results.

Again, you can provide those here, or send them to support if you would rather.
For those who wish to send it to support, there is a link in my signature below which you can use to do so.

PLEASE ALSO REPLY WITH YOUR CURRENT WINDOWS VERSION AND BROWSER VERSION- this will help the team identify the root cause of the problem.

Hopefully with this we can help to get the issues resolved sooner for everyone affected

I play East 3 and GA1,3, and 5.. Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.Use Google Chrome,and Firefox.

Using the East 1 tracert should be sufficient as it's still an East server. If you would rather use East 3's to be safe, you can swap the number to "579"

If you're having difficulties with a US East server, then as far as I know any of the East servers should do for this. If you don't use or play the GB1 server it may not be as helpful to provide traceroute data to that server as it would be if you provided data for an East server.

It's really bad when you can't see who kills you till its to late lol

Game is locking up freezing and I am still moving with NPCs or other Ships frozen in game bad part is if enemy is shooting me I don't know it till ship explodes and I don't even know who shot me till I die and says, so and so killed you and I never even get a chance to fight them. I had to fix drones 3 times already from dying so much.

In the last 2 days, I have received insane memory usages (1GB at moments), and also when jumping on port the game kinda freezes and it takes too long to load the new map. Didn't happen before.

Running on Mozilla Firefox, version 42.0 (at the time of writing). Latest Flash player too. OS: Windows 7, on i5 Intel with 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GPU

EDIT 1 (some extra info):

These things don't happen all the time (at least for me). Sometimes it loads maps really slow, even though I don't have problems with the internet connection. Sometimes, I see my self at port but can't jump and I will find out someone shot me down (still no problems with my connection). Tonight, for example, I didn't had any problems in game, no lag, no freezing. But yesterday I had those slow loads whole day, and they were really bad that I couldn't do any PvP in game, cause it took me 15 seconds to load another map after a jump, and found my self shot down couple of times while map was loading and I didn't had anything on my screen.

As you can see from the screen shot above, it happens sometimes most of the requests to the server to not reach the destination. I don't have any other problems when I ping some other online services and so on.

EDIT 2:

I did tracert on all the URL's from the first post, the situation is the same. Currently, I do request time out on all of them.

PS. @Solid_Eye Please check my post again, I have updated it couple of times and sent to the support the updated post. If they need more info about my ISP and stuff, just ping me here, I will share all the info I can.

What I did I went to Service On my PC and turned off the SUPERFETCH
SuperFetch is a performance enhancement introduced in Microsoft Windows Vista to reduce the time necessary to launch applications. SuperFetch works with the memory manager service in Windows to analyze memory usage patterns over time to determine the optimal memory content for a given user for a date or time of day

This eats a lot of RAM on pc and slows it down, truning this off helps with lag issues and gives better FPS

I believe the insane memory issue may be separate from the earlier issues that prompted this thread (game client and aspects of the backpage being entirely blacked out/not loading at all). I can try to see if the memory usage is known or checked out though

I'm thinking that (again, sorry) may be a separate issue from the the non-loading black screen some users were getting before. However, there seems to be some of you experiencing difficulties so I will pass it along to see if it helps

@Solid_Eye the thing is, I have never ever had that much memory usage on the client. When I get that much memory usage, all that problems when jumping a gate happen. It's like this: I am on 3-4 map, have 1GB+ memory. I jump to 3-3, can't see anything for 15 seconds, than memory drops to 200-300MB. In the next couple of seconds, it goes again to 1GB+ usage. I don't know why is this happening, but it never happened to me before. That is one part of the problem, and the other part is the requests time outs I am doing on DO servers. That is a problem too

 

HELP, HELP, HELP, I am getting murdered out there. As of a few days ago my account is Broken and has not been fixed yet.

Solid Eye this problem just stated a few days ago before that game was working fine for me Please fixed this problem, I am dying out there and drones cost to repair I don't even know who is shooting me till I am dead that is how bad this lag or whatever it is going on. I am FPS 50 to 60 FPS but game is frozen. This is new issue going on, or something happen that needs to be fixed fast, someone move something up there in Tech support and now game is not working for some the way it should.

I have already posted my ping thing up there... When are you guys going to fix this issue I cant even fight with the game locking up on me on us
