  1. Complete the Zeta Gate as many times as you can to become full LF-4, havocs and apis/zeus drones.

That's the secret, there is no other good way.

Yes thats right. If you got stuck in 2017 lol

  3. what?

  4. Don't you see?
ppl of UFE status were now grinding sometime for maxed prometheus and spartan.

    REGARD.

  5. You can't be spartans without havocs from zeta gate.
Prometheus are hard to get and barely worth it, getting full lf-4, pirate booty boxes and logdisks is more important.

  6. without being UFE, true. it's mostly important for make 9,10 drone and havocs.

  7. It's not up for argument. Zeta gate is the fastest way to grow ship.

  8. Prometheus aren’t hard to get what are you smoking

  9. They are very hard to get if you don't have LF-4s, and barely worth it too.

  10. Yeah i don't know what you mean by hardly worth it when regular lf4's hit regular damage in blm's but prometheus hit like almost 1 mil damage when ship drones and pet are equipped and using abl ammo in blm's. I would like to see you hit that damage with regular lf4's.
Also just doing Zeta you would never become real strong cause regular lf4's are the weakest lf4's right now unless you did it during enhanced lf4 day and got the new lf4's.
Although i agree Zeta is the fastest way to get ld, and booty keys and also havoc drones are a good addition to any up and coming pilot.

  11. against blacklight yeah the prometheus hit harder but you only do the blacklight to gain them anyway so who cares.

Zeta is the best gate because it excelerates you the fastest, simple as that.

I think the best way to get stronger is if they would implement a system where X-1 to X-3 starting/home maps are specifically for PvE only. Meaning PvP is disabled. Some may say it will be boring, but this will invite more new players to invest in the game. With how things are at the moment, the game has become too hostile to new players. I've played since 2010's and have been part of IMP@ IMPr, til it became SOS in GA3 back in the day, but after coming back, I could no longer access my acc and never got any replies from the emails I sent, so I created a new one. The game is not what it used to be, and they implemented too many overpowered weapons, where people can no longer run to safety, especially new players that are trying to get stronger. Even just doing dailies, you get one shotted by "pushers" and noob hunters, and can't even farm or do dailies. There have been so many roaming around the lower maps. Back then there used to be a vast array of players. Now, it feels empty and felt like the devs don't care about it.

For players to grow stronger and not lose interest in the game, X-1 to X-3 maps should be PvE locked, for newbies to grow. Then if they feel the need to PvP they would start going further which would start from the 4-X maps to the higher maps. How things are going now, older players would get bored, and people will start leaving with no new replacements. Dailies with the current rewards are already a good way to become strong. I have almost finished my tech tree just by doing dailies, and spend Uri only when necessary. But it's impossible due to the amount of pushers. Like these guys don't even know killine newbies grants them negative consequences, but it aint enough.

    -PRICEYSID- and Anguish like this.
  13. What do you mean has become to hostile to new players? New players have so many benefits today. X-1 maps used to have enemies actively hunting noobs. Low level players cant be attacked now, but that wasnt the case back in the glory days of Dark Orbit. Its a PVP game, learning to survive is part of the game.

It's no longer the glory days and we need to adjust for the game not to die. Back then we didn't have insanely overpowered lasers. You should know the difference of back then and now if you were from the "glory days". Back then LF-3 was the highest laser you could get. A PvP could last for a minute, and a 1v1 suddenly turning into 4v3 was highly common. New players had the ability to be able to run to safety. And guess why. I was there when Bonus Boxes weren't even a thing yet, and the old Goli designs were still the ones who looked like blocks. Apis and Zeus were still a few years down the line. Where BO2's and IRIS, even a vengeance costs 200+ mil in Bid. When mods used to come in unique ships. Back then everything was balanced, and bots get nuked quite often. Now, not only do bots dominate, DO also failed to balance the system. Weapons became more powerful while the HP of ships remain the same. Heck, even ships like the vengeance class are overshadowed and seem to have less value but their speed. If you only prioritize one thing and leave others on the dust simply because you chase profits, that is a bad business mindset. Vengeance don't even have any new unique designs ever since the Lightning came out.

New players have many benefits, but that doesn't take care of the issue. It's no longer friendly for new players. And you gotta accept DO is a shadow of its former self until something is done.

  15. Turning Dark Orbit into a different game isnt saving it. The only reason DO still exists is because of rank [REMOVED]. If players werent concerned with rank, they wouldnt spend money and DO would die. I'm just an old school player that now plays free and just login to have a little fun.

You're not turning Dark Orbit into a different game. Like business, you adjust to the times until the normalcy returns. If you don't adjust, you fall. It's that simple. And rank has nothing to do with any of the suggestions because you can still compete for rank in different events and even PVP just fine. It's not an excuse to not adjust and make a temporary system where new players can strive and pick up a game where they won't need to worry about purchasing just to start. It's really that simple. Unless this was the DarkOrbit back then, there is no need for this. But they messed up the balance, and you need something to counter that. It's common sense, really. We need to adjust, brother. More new people, more new investment.
