Better Chat?

Better chat in my opinion, chat is rarely used by other players and when certain players do use it, the interface is a disconnect confusing at times, missing messages from other tabs because you're on a whole other tab. So I propose that chat be updated so there's no tabs, I feel it would be a whole lot better if chat was docked on the screen and there was no background over lay. All the different tabs will show up in the same chat box (without tabs) but they will be different colors to represent the different tabs that there used to be. I believe this will be so much better because well who doesn't talk in multiple tabs and forgets about the one sooner or later ?


Pros:
- Docked chat
- you can click on it all you want but nothing will happen until you hit enter so you're able to click through the chat to attack aliens etc. So chat ain't a distraction
- Different word colors to differentiate the different chat options ( not sure what you would call it)
- After you hit enter then the chat box comes up and the scroll button etc
- Option to change the color to what ever you want (IN Settings)
- Option to block some chats (In Settings)
- I lost my train of thought so I forgot some pros
- Transparency slider in settings for chat

Yeah a scroll function that actually worked would be great ^^

I hate the current chat where if someone says something whilst you have scrolled up it jumps down to what they said, so in order to see something nobody has to have said anything for a few minutes.

Good idea all round.

I don't know if it's just me but all the chat malfunctions and fails at times take away from the whole multiplayer part of the game.

What if we accidently pressed Enter?

It would be annoying....

There should be a option that makes the chat bigger / smaller in your Idea

You can always change button, witch opens chat from options. Like - or + button at right side of keyboard. I don't think, that you would press one of those by accident ?

And size scaling of chat, could be added to configuration mode.
To chat's right corner appears button. Dragging this button, you could scale size of chat, when chat window is open.
